Ali Bongo and his supporters are struggling to convince the Gabonese people to accept their so-called inclusive dialogue; while the latter, knowing all the illegitimacy of the former, have only one desire: to see him go away!

It is obvious that in Gabon, as everywhere else, everything that can bring back peace and serenity is desirable and is to be welcomed. But maintaining Ali Bongo in power is neither a factor of peace nor a catalyst for stability. On the contrary, the Gabonese people feel that the injunctions of Ali Bongo, speaking in their name, are appeals to the prostration of the people at the feet of a murderous dictator.

On this point, the patriotic Gabonese will remain firm in their inflexibility vis-a-vis all those who ask them to put water down their resolve. For us, in effecting a passage in force, in defiance of the fundamental law of the country, Ali Bongo and his clan wanted to put everyone, the international community included, before the fait accompli; and we cannot accept this and we say no!

We do not have to prostrate ourselves at the feet of an uneducated dictator who kills us and thinks that he would stay forever in power. We do not accept to go on bended knees before Ali Bongo, begging for his grace.

No, we will not give up!

Ali Bongo et ses partisans se donnent beaucoup de mal pour convaincre les Gabonais d’accepter leur soi-disant dialogue inclusif; alors que ces derniers connaissant toute l’illégitimité du premier cité, n’ont qu’un seul désir : qu’il leur débarrasse le plancher !

Il est évident qu’au Gabon, comme partout ailleurs, tout ce qui peut permettre de ramener la paix et la sérénité, est souhaitable et à saluer. Mais le maintien d’Ali Bongo au pouvoir n’est ni un facteur de paix, ni un catalyseur de la stabilité. Au contraire, les Gabonais ressentent les injonctions d’Ali Bongo, parlant en leur nom, comme des appels à la prosternation du peuple aux pieds d’un meurtrier dictateur.

Sur ce point, les Gabonais patriotes demeureront fermes dans leur inflexibilité face à tous ceux qui leurs demandent de mettre de l’eau dans leur vin. Pour nous, en opérant un passage en force, au mépris de la loi fondamentale du pays, Ali Bongo et les siens ont voulu mettre tout le monde, la communauté internationale comprise, devant le fait accompli ; et nous ne pouvons l’accepter et disons non !

Nous ne sommes pas obligés de nous prosterner aux pieds d’un dictateur inculte qui nous tue et pense rester éternellement au pouvoir. Nous n’acceptons pas d’aller à genoux devant Ali Bongo, mendier sa grâce.

Non, nous ne lâchons rien !
