"The European Parliament has just overwhelmingly passed a Resolution which confirms the doubts of the observation mission of the presidential election of 27 August 2016 on the sincerity of the vote and hence on the legitimacy of Mr. Ali Bongo Ondimba. This Resolution also confirms the position of the Gabonese opposition for whom it was Mr. Jean Ping who was elected. It is also a great victory for the Gabonese people who voted massively for Mr. Jean Ping and who continue to valiantly claim for the respect of their sovereignty. Finally, it is a snub for the Gabonese government which now figures in the charts of countries where elections are regularly rigged, human rights abused, economic and social governance calamitous. My dear compatriots, we are still mobilized around President Jean Ping for other victories. "

« Le Parlement européen vient de voter à une écrasante majorité une Résolution qui confirme les doutes de la mission d'observation de l'élection présidentielle du 27 Août 2016, sur la sincérité du scrutin, et partant sur la légitimité de M. Ali Bongo Ondimba. Cette Résolution conforte également la position de l'opposition gabonaise pour qui c'est M. Jean Ping qui a été élu. C'est aussi une grande victoire du peuple gabonais qui a voté massivement pour M. Jean Ping et qui continue à revendiquer vaillamment le respect de sa souveraineté. C'est enfin, un camouflet pour le gouvernement gabonais qui figure désormais au hit-parade des pays où les élections sont régulièrement truquées, les droits de l'homme bafoués, la gouvernance économique et sociale calamiteuse. Mes chers compatriotes, restons mobilisés autour du Président Jean Ping pour d'autres victoires. »
