IN GABON, THE AUTHORITY OF THE STATE IS ONLY MENTIONED BY THE REGIME, TO PUNISH THE PEOPLE. AU GABON, L’AUTORITÉ DE L’ÉTAT N’EST ÉVOQUÉE PAR LE RÉGIME, QUE POUR PUNIR LE PEUPLE

English version

To listen to Alain Claude Bilié By Nze, the spokesman of the Gabonese government, and his colleague of the National Education, one would think that the authority of the Gabonese state is simply and continuously to punish the Gabonese people.

Here is a regime that recognizes that the state owes large arrears to teachers, while prohibiting teachers from claiming their due, at the risk of seeing their wages suspended, their unions dissolved and their dismissals considered. The regime calls this: "restoring the authority of the State". But this blog wonders why in Gabon this authority of the state is only mentioned to punish the Gabonese people?

Indeed, the authority of the State is also to guarantee access to education for all Gabonese; but the regime never says it!

The authority of the State is also to guarantee access to an adequate health system for all Gabonese; but the regime never claims this!

The authority of the State is also to guarantee to all Gabonese a job-creating and egalitarian economic system; but the regime never says it!

The authority of the state is also to guarantee to all Gabonese access to drinking water and electricity; but the regime never dares to say this!

Dear readers, the state authority does not express itself by using the taxpayer's money to buy Ferraris and send the security forces to prevent the citizens of Bolossoville from holding a simple meeting; the authority of the State must play a role of unifying the social order, not to terrorize the citizens. The Bongo State is only an instrument of violence and oppression; and we cannot accept this.

We will not give up!
