English Version

In a recent television interview, the super Minister Seraphin Moundounga, following the overwhelming pictures showing the piggish state of the University of Libreville on the French television channel France 24, said that the channel omitted to film the new buildings at the forefront of technology that the Gabonese state has provided to that university. The first photo above is that of the famous "futuristic" building spoken about by Moundounga. We lay people, see only see some kind of warehouse covered with tarp. But it would seem that this building is the very best that NASA, the U.S. space agency, has to offer. How do we know? It is what Moundounga said during the same interview and since Moundounga is a doctor and that a self-respected doctor must know what he's talking about, therefore...

But we lay people, wanted to compare the high-tech buildings of the University of Libreville, with those of universities in middle-income African countries such as Gabon. African top middle-income countries are: South Africa, Algeria, Botswana, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Mauritius, Namibia and Seychelles. We excluded South Africa for obvious reasons because that country is already considered an emerging one. Also excluded were the Maghreb countries. We therefore chose five countries in Africa south of the Sahara: Botswana, Namibia, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritius and Seychelles. The pictures speak for themselves and we'll let you decide whether or not Gabon can be compared to the others!
