Ali Bongo (AFP) English version La Lettre du Continent, in its latest issue, describes Ali Bongo as being confronted with an unprecedented isolation that weakens him significantly. The many movements of defection and dissent within the regime and the PDG are the evidence of this isolation. La Lettre du Continent thinks that the recent resignation from the PDG of Leon-Paul Ngoulakia could be particularly destabilizing. The latter, first cousin of Ali Bongo, could help create greater dissent among elites from Haut-Ogooué. La Lettre du Continent also informs us that this resignation has particularly compromised the recent tour of Ali Bongo in that region, which was organized by Mathias Otounga Ossibadjouo and Jean-Pierre Oyiba. That tour was designed to revive Ali Bongo in that province where more and more people are saying openly that they feel left aside.
