THE SO-CALLED COUP SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN AN EXERCISE BY THE REPUBLICAN GUARDS; BUT WHY? LE FAMEUX COUP D’ETAT SEMBLE AVOIR ÉTÉ UN EXERCICE DE LA GARDE RÉPUBLICAINE ; MAIS POURQUOI ?

Dear readers, it is clear today, with hindsight, that what was presented to us as a coup on the night of Sunday to Monday, would have been an exercise of the Republican Guard. The question this blog asks, is why the elements of the Republican Guard would have engaged in this exercise?

We propose our hypotheses.

1. Can we imagine that serious coup perpetrators would be organizing their action at a time when the US is deploying soldiers in Gabon?

The answer is of course not.

2. Can we imagine that a serious coup in Gabon could be viewed with complete indifference by the US and French embassies in Libreville?

The answer is of course not, when we consider that as soon as the announcement of the death of Ali Bongo by the Washington Post was made two months ago, the ambassadors of these two countries went not to the Prime Minister or to the President of the Senate, as one might have imagined; but rather to see Mborantsuo, the President of the Constitutional Court; to certainly dictate to her the way forward. This proves that these two chancelleries have very specific and important interests in the continuity of the state in Gabon. One can therefore wonder why these two chancelleries have not reacted in any way following the announcement of the coup d'etat. In our opinion they knew it was a RG exercise.

3. Why did the elements of the RG organize that exercise?

Our answer is that either they wanted to test the response of the Gabonese people in the event of a coup in Gabon under conditions where the power vacuum was already de facto established; or they wanted to flush out of the woods the members of the opposition by dangling to them a coup d'etat, which, if they lined up behind this act, would have allowed the regime to arrest them under the pretext of threatening the security of the state; or finally, this exercise was an intramural warning of the GR to the Valentins camp that is maneuvering to place Noureddine Bongo at the head of Gabon, the message being: if you do that, we will execute a coup.

Chers lecteurs, il est clair aujourd’hui, avec le recul, que ce qui nous a été présenté comme un coup d’Etat dans la nuit du dimanche à lundi, n’aurait été qu’un exercice de la Garde Républicaine. La question que pose ce blog, est de savoir pourquoi les éléments de la Garde Républicaine se serait livrés à cet exercice ?

Nous vous proposons nos hypothèses.

1. Peut-on imaginer des putschistes sérieux organiser leur action au moment où les USA déploient des soldats au Gabon ?

La réponse est bien sûr que non.

2. Peut-on imaginer qu’un putsch sérieux au Gabon laisse complètement indifférent les ambassades des USA et de France à Libreville ?

La réponse est bien sûr que non, quand on sait que dès l’annonce de la mort d’Ali Bongo par le Washington Post il y a deux mois, les ambassadeurs de ces deux pays se rendirent non pas chez le Premier Ministre ni chez la Présidente du Senat, comme on aurait pu l’imaginer ; mais plutôt chez Mborantsuo, la Présidente de la Cour Constitutionnelle ; pour certainement lui dicter la marche à suivre. Ce qui prouve bien que ces deux chancelleries aient des intérêts très précis et importants dans la continuité de l’Etat au Gabon. On peut donc se demander pourquoi ces deux chancelleries n’ont aucunement réagi suite à l’annonce du coup d’Etat. A notre avis elles savaient que c’était un exercice de la GR.

3. Où voulait en venir les éléments de la GR qui ont organiser l’exercice ?

Notre réponse est que soit ils voulaient tester la réponse du peuple Gabonais en cas de coup d’Etat au Gabon dans les conditions où la vacance du pouvoir est déjà de fait ; soit ils voulaient faire sortir du bois, les membres de l’opposition en leur faisant miroiter un coup d’Etat qui, s’ils s’alignaient derrière cet acte, aurait permis au régime de les faire arrêter sous prétexte d’atteinte à la sureté de l’Etat ; soit finalement, cet exercice était une avertissement intramuros de la GR au camp des Valentins qui manœuvrent pour placer Noureddine Bongo à la tête du Gabon, le message étant : si vous faites cela, nous on fait un coup d’Etat.
