It is Africa Mining Intelligence that writes it in its today’s edition, that Michel Mboussou is reportedly currently in a chilled relationship with the Bongo regime, because of the presidential ambition of his wife.

Although appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company that manages the shares of the Gabonese State in the mining sector, the Equatorial Company of Mines; Michel Mboussou has lost his shine within the regime. Indeed, the one who inducted Ali Bongo as the head of the Gabonese Freemasonry, then was appointed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then as patron of the social security of Gabon, and finally boss of the Gabonese Company of storage of petroleum products, now plays on the back bench!

According to the publication, Michel Mboussou would bear the brunt of recent tensions at the head of Gabon. Since Ali Bongo's stroke in October, Senate President Lucie Milebou-Aubusson, his wife, seems to want to position herself for a possible final impediment to Ali Bongo that would be followed by the declaration of a power vacuum. Bien que nommé au poste de Président du Conseil d’Administration de la Société qui gère les parts de l'Etat Gabonais dans le secteur minier, la Société Equatoriale des Mines ; Michel Mboussou a perdu de sa superbe au sein du régime. En effet, celui qui intronisa Ali Bongo à la tête de la franc maçonnerie Gabonaise, pour être ensuite nommé au ministère des affaires étrangères, puis comme patron de la sécurité sociale du Gabon, et enfin patron de la Société gabonaise d'entreposage de produits pétroliers, joue désormais les seconds couteaux !

D’après la publication, Michel Mboussou ferait les frais des récentes tensions à la tête du Gabon. Depuis l'AVC d’Ali Bongo en octobre, la présidente du Sénat Lucie Milebou-Aubusson, son épouse, semble vouloir se positionner pour un possible empêchement définitif d’Ali Bongo qui ferait suite à l’enclanchement d’une vacance du pouvoir. Quand on pense comme cela, on devient forcement suspect aux yeux du régime.
