Ali Bongo’s plan is very simple: he thinks he can stay in power by just killing as many Gabonese as possible until he obtains our submission to his will. He thinks that the Constitutional Court is going to confirm him and this in return would blunt temper the willingness of the international community to hold him accountable. He is going to say: “my Constitutional Court has confirmed me; I respect the law”. It is a very simple plan; one that is pretty standard for any dictator around the world.

There is an old adage that says that if you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail. In other words, since we know that Ali Bongo is determined to stay in power regardless of the results of the election, he demonstrated that by cheating so blatantly in Haut-Ogooué; what are we going to do when Ali Bongo will again show us that he has no intention to leave power? It is now that we need to come up with strategies. We do not need to divulge them out in the open, but we need to form small groups in every neighborhood, every locality every town, every district, within Gabon and outside, to deal with this eventuality or even probability. The objective will be very simple, to bring Ali Bongo down by any means necessary!

Le plan d'Ali Bongo est très simple: il pense qu'il peut rester au pouvoir en tuant simplement autant de Gabonais que possible jusqu'à ce qu'il obtienne notre soumission à sa volonté. Il pense que la Cour Constitutionnelle va le confirmer et que ceci en retour va émousser la volonté de la communauté internationale de lui demander des comptes. Il va dire : « ma Cour Constitutionnelle m’a confirmé, donc je suis légaliste ». Il a un plan très simple; qui d’ailleurs est assez standard pour tout dictateur dans le monde entier.

Il y a un vieil adage qui dit que si vous ne prévoyez rien, c’est que vous prévoyez d'échouer. En d'autres termes, puisque nous savons qu’Ali Bongo est déterminé à rester au pouvoir, indépendamment des résultats de l'élection, il l’a démontré par la tricherie si flagrante dans le Haut-Ogooué; par conséquent, qu’allons-nous faire quand Ali Bongo viendra à nouveau nous montrer qu'il n'a pas l'intention de quitter le pouvoir? C’est maintenant que nous devons trouver des stratégies. Nous ne devons pas les divulguer à tout le monde, mais nous avons besoin de former de petits groupes dans chaque quartier, chaque localité, chaque ville, chaque district, au Gabon et à l'extérieur, pour faire face à cette éventualité ou même probabilité. L'objectif sera très simple, faire tomber Ali Bongo par tous les moyens nécessaires!
