A large part of the Gabonese people is tired of the situation wanting to have them believe that it is normal for Gabon to be under the permanent leadership of an absent president.

Despite the fuss of the regime that carries around a scarecrow-president they bring out from time to time when popular pressure rises, many Gabonese now openly say that they do not have a president.

In fact, Gabon is at most governed by a silent image of a president. It has become clear to all that Ali Bongo has disappeared politically, and therefore he is unable to continue to serve as president. But yet, the comedy continues!

However, a few weeks ago, the regime announced the definitive return of Ali Bongo to Gabon. But strangely, that Ali Bongo has disappeared. We were told that Ali Bongo would continue his convalescence in Gabon. But since then, that Ali Bongo has never spoken; nor even shaken the hands of his ministers in public.

Whenever that Ali Bongo is presented to the Gabonese people, he appears considerably diminished and forced to remain silence to mask a strongly impaired speech. Since his stroke, the regime has spent most of its time hiding Ali Bongo from the Gabonese people. The apparitions of this Ali Bongo are becoming rarer and rarer. Why continues to maintain what is now an open secret?

Une grande partie du peuple Gabonais est lassée par la situation voulant lui faire croire qu’il soit normal que le Gabon soit sous la permanente direction d’un président absent.

Malgré les simagrées du régime qui trimbale un épouvantail-président qu’il fait sortir de temps en temps quand la pression populaire monte, beaucoup de Gabonais disent désormais ouvertement ne pas avoir de président.

En fait, le Gabon est tout au plus gouverné par une image muette de président. Il est devenu évident pour tous, qu’Ali Bongo a politiquement disparu, et que par conséquent il est donc en incapacité de continuer de faire office de président. Mais pourtant, la comédie continue !

Il y a pourtant quelques semaines, le régime annonçait le retour définitif au Gabon d’Ali Bongo. Mais bizarrement, cet Ali Bongo a disparu. On nous avait dit que cet Ali Bongo poursuivrait sa convalescence au Gabon. Mais depuis, cet Ali Bongo n’a jamais pris la parole ; ni même serre la main de ses ministres en public.

Chaque fois que cet Ali Bongo est présenté aux Gabonais, Il apparaît considérablement diminué et contraint au silence pour masquer une élocution fortement entamée. Depuis son AVC, le régime passe la majeure partie de son temps à cacher Ali Bongo au peuple Gabonais. Les apparitions de cet Ali Bongo se font de plus en plus rares. Pourquoi continue à maintenir ce qui n’est plus qu’un secret de polichinelle ?
