It is Africa Energy Intelligence which says in its latest edition, essentially that Brice Laccruche Alihanga would have placed his friend Noël Mboumba as minister of petroleum, so that this would accelerate the liquidation of Sogara.

Indeed, before entering the government, Noël Mboumba led Sogara. The method chosen to pass the pill was to claim that Sogara will simply be absorbed by Gabon Oil Co (GOC).

The urgency of this decision comes from the fact that the IMF would have requested a deep reform of the oil sector in Gabon in exchange for a financial support plan. The IMF would have also asked to simply close the GOC.

The regime, to save face, decided on an intermediate solution, not to frenzy the public by drastic job cuts. But the reality is there: Sogara is gone and the GOC should also disappear in the coming months.

The promises of this regime are binding only on those who believe them!

C’est Africa Energy Intelligence qui dit dans son édition du jour, essentiellement que Brice Laccruche Alihanga aurait placé son obligé Noël Mboumba comme ministre du pétrole, pour que ce dernier accélère la liquidation de la Sogara.

En effet, avant son entrée au gouvernement, Noël Mboumba dirigeait la Sogara. La méthode choisie pour faire passer la pilule est de prétendre que la Sogara va simplement être absorbée par la Gabon Oil Co (GOC).

L’urgence de cette décision viendrait du fait que le FMI demanderait une réforme profonde du secteur pétrolier du Gabon en échange d'un plan de soutien financier. Le FMI demanderait aussi de tout simplement fermer la GOC.

Le régime, pour sauver la face, a décidé d’une solution intermédiaire, pour ne pas affoler le public par de drastiques suppression d'emplois. Mais la réalité est pourtant là : Sogara n’est plus et la GOC devrait aussi passer au couperet dans les prochains mois.

Les promesses de ce régime n’engagent que ceux qui y croient !
