In a serious country, with equally serious leaders, the first person who should explain themself to the Gabonese people is Lee White; then the Minister of Oil, the Prime Minister and Ali Bongo himself. If Lee White is the minister closest to Ali Bongo and his wife, if Lee White scrupulously follows the guidelines of the Ali Bongo government, if Lee White turns a blind eye to Perenco's acts of pollution, it is because Ali Bongo and his regime want it to be so.

 

If the Minister of the Environment does not care about the country's environment, then he must resign or be sacked as soon as possible. Grace à notre compatriote Bernard Christian Rekoula, le monde entier a pu voir le désastre écologique dont est coupable la société pétrolière Perenco au Gabon.

 

Curieusement, Lee White qui aime bien faire des sorties en hélicoptère pour vanter la luxuriante écologie Gabonaise, n’a jamais rien dit au sujet de l’abondante et très visible pollution à laquelle se livre Perenco.

 

Dans un pays sérieux, avec des dirigeants tout aussi sérieux, la première personne qui devrait s’expliquer devant le peuple Gabonais est Lee White ; puis le ministre du pétrole, le Premier Ministre et Ali Bongo lui-même. Quand on est à la tête du ministère de l’environnement, on ne peut pas se cacher devant des faits si graves. Lee White devrait être sur la sellette ; et le régime Ali Bongo devrait l’y tenir compagnie.

 

Si Lee White est le ministre le plus proche d’Ali Bongo et son épouse, si Lee White suit scrupuleusement les orientations du gouvernement Ali Bongo, si Lee White ferme les yeux devant les actes de pollution de Perenco, c’est que c’est Ali Bongo et son régime qui veulent qu’il en soit ainsi.

 

Si le Ministre de l’Environnement ne se préoccupe pas de l’environnement du pays, alors il doit démissionner ou être limogé le plus rapidement possible. En fait, nous pouvons d’ores et déjà affirmer qu’en laissant Perenco polluer à sa guise, le ministre de l’environnement Lee White, et son patron et protecteur Ali Bongo, peuvent être accusés de crimes environnementaux contre le Gabon.
