Certainly, this opposition is playing the role assigned to it, which is to cheerfully accompany Ali Bongo to a third and consecutive plebiscite; an absolutely incomprehensible outcome when one observes the catastrophic record that he has.

 

The failure of Ali Bongo's 14-year-old governance is proportional to the scale of the social protests currently taking place in all sectors of the country's social and administrative life.

 

The Ali Bongo regime is clearly using the accompanying opposition to better maneuver and control the dividing lines that structure the country's social and political space, in a context of growing popular protests; and at the same time to weaken a genuine robust opposition by replacing it with an opposition of convenience.

 

After the re-election of Ali Bongo as head of state in a few months, a new government will be an opportunity for him to call new faces to enter the government. Do not be surprised if many accompanying opposition members take this path.

 

This group of opposition parties that went to Ali Bongo's consultation is profoundly weak. Its leaders, for the most part, glaringly lack credibility and are objectively so heterogeneous in their political careers that they discredit themselves. The coalition that these people have formed, is doomed to be ephemeral and torn apart. Dear readers, it is a fake opposition that logically proves incapable of channeling the expectations and thirst for freedom of Gabonese and even less, of embodying an alternative.

Assurément, cette opposition est train de jouer le rôle qui lui est assigné, et qui est d’accompagner allègrement Ali Bongo vers un troisième et consécutif plébiscite ; un dénouement absolument incompréhensible quand on observe le bilan catastrophique de l’intéressé.

 

L’échec de la gouvernance déjà vieille de 14 ans d’Ali Bongo, est proportionnelle à l’ampleur des protestations sociales qui ont cours en ce moment dans tous les secteurs de la vie sociale et administrative du pays.

 

Le régime Ali Bongo manifestement utilise l’opposition d’accompagnement afin de mieux appréhender et contrôler les lignes de clivages qui structurent l’espace social et politique du pays, dans un contexte de protestations populaires croissantes ; et simultanément d’affaiblir une véritable opposition robuste en la remplaçant par une opposition de complaisance.

 

Après la reconduction d’Ali Bongo à la tête de l’Etat dans quelques mois, Un nouveau gouvernement sera l’occasion pour ce dernier d’appeler de nouvelles tête à entrer au gouvernement. Ne soyez point surpris si de nombreux opposants accompagnateurs prennent ce chemin.

 

Ce groupe des partis d’opposition qui est allé à la concertation d’Ali Bongo, est profondément faible. Ses dirigeants pour la plupart manquent criardement de crédibilité et sont objectivement si hétéroclites dans leurs parcours politiques, qu’ils se discréditent eux-mêmes. La coalition que ces gens ont formée, est condamnée à être éphémère et déchirée. Chers lecteurs, c’est une opposition factice qui s’avère fort logiquement incapable de canaliser les attentes et soifs de liberté des Gabonais et encore moins d’incarner une alternative.
