La Lettre du Continent reminds us that Denis Sassou-Nguesso is supposed to have excellent relations with Jean Ping who is also in good standing with Malabo, especially if the Fang community of Gabon supported his candidacy, something that Jean Eyeghe-Ndong, René Obiang Ndemezo'o and Jean-Marc Ekoh are working on it. But Guy Nzouba-Ndama is not left out, as one of his main supports is none other than the leader of Heritage and Modernity, Alexandre Barro Chambrier, whose wife is a relative of Antoinette Sassou Nguesso, the wife of the Congolese head of state.

Who would think for a moment that Theodoro Obiang Nguema has forgotten the accusations he was subjected to in 2009 by Ali Bongo? Do they not say that revenge is a dish best served cold?

Vue l’hémorragie interne en cours au sein du PDG, Ali Bongo multiplie les voyages dans les pays voisins d’Afrique Centrale, à la recherche de soutiens à son maintien au pouvoir et pour aussi affaiblir ses potentiels challengers aux yeux des chefs d’Etats de la sous-région.

Il est amusant de voir Ali Bongo, qui jusqu’ici affichait une arrogance et suffisance extrême, à l’encontre des chefs d’Etats de la sous-région, préférant aller se faire photographier en compagnie des membres des familles royales d’Angleterre ou des pays du Golfe Persique ; courir de Malabo à Brazzaville pour aller rendre visite à ses « frères et amis » présidents des deux pays. L’hypocrisie est à couper au couteau !

La Lettre du Continent rappelle que Denis Sassou-Nguesso entretiendrait d’excellents rapports avec Jean Ping et que ce dernier ait aussi ses entrées à Malabo, surtout si la communauté Fang du Gabon soutenait sa candidature, chose à laquelle s’activent les Jean Eyeghe-Ndong, René Ndemezo'o Obiang et Jean-Marc Ekoh. Qui pourrait penser un seul instant que Theodoro Obiang-Nguema ait oublié les accusations dont il fut l’objet en 2009 de la part d’Ali Bongo ? Ne dit-on pas que la revanche soit un plat qui se mange à froid?
