Dear readers, we see it with the debate about the CFA Franc, where France goes so far as to deny that this currency is beneficial for her, while she is torpedoing the establishment of a truly independent currency the Eco.

We see this in Belgium, where many right-wing politicians still today deny the human and economic crimes committed by King Leopold in Congo, Burundi and Rwanda.

Here comes from England, an article published in the journal "The Federalist", which specializes in colonial nostalgia and the presentation of that endeavor as having been beneficial to the native populations.

This article basically says perniciously that western countries were able to pursue colonial ventures, not because they were looking to exploit the colonies, but because they were already rich. Hence colonialism was a consequence and not the genesis of Western development; and that the only benefactors of colonialism are the native population who received culture, education and infrastructure from the west.

Dear readers, these people want to convince us that if they created centuries of agony, pain and suffering in the colonies, it was not for their own benefit, but for that of the native populations.

Dear readers, make no mistake about it, such article know that the days of the old order are numbered and that, to prevent African populations from seeking redress from former colonial powers, they should try to romanticize the former colonial empires, by pushing the idea that European people took over the world but gained nothing out of it. This is a crazy lie, as evidenced by the great lengths to which colonial powers went to in order to secure access to resources in their African colonies.

Dear readers, we must not tolerate such lies any longer!

Chers lecteurs, nous le constatons avec le débat sur le Franc CFA, ou la France va jusqu’à nier que cette monnaie lui soit bénéficiaire, alors qu’elle torpille la mise en place d’un Eco vraiment indépendant.

Nous le constatons en Belgique, où de nombreux politiciens de droite nient encore aujourd’hui les crimes humains et économiques commis par le Roi Léopold au Congo, au Burundi et au Rwanda.

Voici que nous vient d’Angleterre, un article publié dans la revue « The Federalist », qui se spécialise dans la nostalgie coloniale et la présentation de ceci comme ayant été une œuvre bienfaitrice pour les populations autochtones.

Cet article dit fondamentalement et de façon pernicieuse, que les pays occidentaux ont pu mener leurs entreprises coloniales, non pas parce qu'ils cherchaient à exploiter les colonies, mais parce qu'ils étaient déjà riches. Le colonialisme était donc une conséquence et non la genèse du développement occidental ; et que les seuls bénéficiaires du colonialisme soient les populations autochtones qui reçurent la culture, l'éducation et les infrastructures occidentales.

Chers lecteurs, ces gens veulent nous convaincre que s'ils ont créé des siècles d'agonie, de douleur et de souffrance dans les colonies, ce n'était pas pour leur propre bénéfice, mais pour celui des populations autochtones.

Chers lecteurs, ne vous y trompez pas, les auteurs de tels articles savent que les jours de l'ancien ordre sont comptés et que, pour empêcher les populations africaines de demander réparation aux anciennes puissances coloniales, ils devraient essayer de romantiser les anciens empires coloniaux, en poussant l'idée que les Européens aient pris le contrôle du monde sans rien en tirer. C'est un mensonge abjecte, comme en témoignent les efforts considérables déployés par les puissances coloniales pour garantir leur accès aux ressources existant dans leurs colonies africaines.

Chers lecteurs, nous ne devons plus tolérer de tels mensonges !
