Researchers analyzed data from 96,000 patients with confirmed Covid-19 from 671 hospitals. All these patients were hospitalized from late December 2019 to mid-April 2020. About 15,000 patients were treated with the antimalarial drugs hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine, or one of those drugs combined with an antibiotic.
