THE ALI BONGO REGIME CONTRADICTS ITSELF REGARDING JEAN PING. LE RÉGIME ALI BONGO SE CONTREDIT AU SUJET DE JEAN PING

Even if one must no longer be surprised by the contradictions of the Ali Bongo regime, following the thunderous passage of Mr. Jean Ping, the former President of the Commission of the African Union, in the opposition in Gabon, Alain Claude bile Bi Nze, the spokesman of the Gabonese Presidency, in a statement to Radio France Internationale (RFI), said the following:

"The position of Mr. Ping did not surprise us. Simply, we have seen that Mr. Ping has allied himself here with people with whom he has nothing in common; Mr. Ping is one of those people who after being in power in Gabon after all he has gotten from the Gabonese regime, now believes that their time has arrived. But we notice that there is something of a conjunction of events: at a time when the Head of State of Gabon is launching the audits of oil; when Gabon just go back the right to the iron ore deposit of Belinga which has had been sold to foreign interests through the active participation of Mr. Ping, at the expense of Gabon, when all this is starting, this is where we hear that Mr. Ping comes out of the woods, to say that his interests are threatened. This does not interest us!"

The first observation we would make is on the end of the statement by Alain Claude Bilié Bi Nzé which states that the activities and recent statements by Jean Ping were not of interest to the regime in power. This is a curious statement, because usually, when one has no interest in an individual or their activities, they do not go to an international radio station such as RFI to talk about that person and their activities. The Oratory awkwardness of Bilié Bi Nzé on this point betrays a genuine interest on the part of the regime in the ability to neutralize, as soon as possible, the potential impact Jean Ping could have in upcoming political events in Gabon.

The second contradiction arises when Alain Claude Bilié Bi Nzé said that Jean Ping was joining forces with people with whom he had nothing in common. One wonders what Bilié Bi Nzé meant to express by that statement. Is he saying that because of the prestigious positions held by Jean Ping in Gabon and abroad, he would therefore be a man of too high prestige to cozy up with members of the opposition in Gabon? If this is the depth of Bilié Bi Nzé’s thoughts, then it would be good to remind him that Casimir Oye Mba had long been one of the most prestigious representative of Gabon to the outside world and yet he expressed opposition to Ali Bongo regime and joined the ranks of the Union Nationale. If however, Bilié Bi Nzé was referring to the private filiation between Ping and the Bongos, then we should also recall that the same familial links exist between the Bongos and the Mybotos, without it preventing each other from living their political independence. If one assumes that people are free and have rights, then we should accept that people unite and disunite with whom they want, freely.

The third point that we will make is about the eternal threat of the regime to alsways reveal the contents of its famous audits. Dear readers, it's become almost automatic when a former baron of the Bongo regime passes into the opposition, that the first reflex of the regime is to wield a sword of Damocles over their head, threatening to reveal their participation in alleged financial wrongdoing. Remember the threat was made to Jean Eyeghe Ndong and Casimir Oye Mba at the time, by Ali Bongo and his cronies, to pin them through audits of the management of funds for the rotating Independence festivities. These audits were conducted it seems and we have not heard anything about the guilt of Jean Eyeghe Ndong or Casimir Oye Mba. You also remember the veiled threats made to René Ndemezo'Obiang regarding audits of the management of the CAN 2012. Until today, these threats remain dead letters. It is now the turn of Jean Ping to be threatened with revelations of his involvement in the management of Gabonese oil and that of Belinga iron ore deposit. This blog would be very happy to see the development in the public square of the thick file of the management of Gabonese oil. We'll see who has benefited the most and we do not think it's Jean Ping, for Samuel Dossou who is the father of Ali Bongo’s son in law, could shed light on the ownership of offshore accounts packed with Gabonese petrodollars. As for Belinga, it seems that all those who join the opposition become coincidentally the instigators of this affair. Yesterday we were told that this affair Casimir Oye Mba driven, then it became Eyeghe Ndong’s and Jean Ping today is added to the list. Before the end of the current week, we might be told that Jean Ping, alongside André Mba Obame, tried to sale the Island of... Mbanié to Equatorial Guinea. Isn’t it fun to watch the posturing of the regime!

Dear readers, it is clear that in four years of power, Ali Bongo still stammers because he cannot federate the Gabonese people. He is an incapable person. This regime must be pushed out and free Gabonese citizens must provide themselves the means to do so, from all people of good will. The contradictions of the regime show its flimsiness. Même si le régime Ali Bongo n’en est plus à une contradiction près, suite au tonitruant passage de Jean Ping, le précédent Président de la Commission de l'Union africaine, dans l’opposition au Gabon, Alain Claude Bilié Bi Nzé, le Porte-Parole de la Présidence Gabonaise, a dans une déclaration faite à Radio France Internationale (RFI), dit ce qui suit:

«La position de Monsieur Ping ne nous a pas surpris. Simplement, nous avons constatés que Monsieur Ping s’allie là à des gens avec qui il n’a strictement rien à voir; Monsieur Ping fait partie de ces personnalités qui après avoir été au pouvoir au Gabon, après avoir tout eu du pouvoir gabonais, pensent aujourd’hui que leur heure serait arrivée. Mais, nous constatons simplement qu’il y a comme une concomitance d’évènements: au moment où le Chef de l’Etat Gabonais lance l’audit sur le pétrole; au moment où le Gabon vient de récupérer le gisement de fer de Belinga qui a avait été cédé à des intérêts étrangers grâce à une participation active de Monsieur Ping au détriment du Gabon; au moment où tout ceci est lancé, c’est là qu’on entend Monsieur Ping qui sort du bois, pour dire que ses intérêts sont menacés. Ça ne nous intéresse pas!»

La première remarque que nous ferons est sur la fin de la déclaration d’Alain Claude Bilié Bi Nzé qui affirme que les activités et récentes déclarations de Jean Ping n’intéressaient pas le pouvoir en place. Ceci est une affirmation bien curieuse, car généralement, quand on se désintéresse d’un personnage et de ses activités, on ne va pas sur une radio internationale comme RFI, parler de cette personne et des activités qu’elle mène. La maladresse oratoire de Bilié Bi Nzé sur ce point, trahie un réel intérêt pour le pouvoir de neutraliser aussitôt que possible l’impact que pourrait avoir Jean Ping dans les évènements politiques à venir au Gabon.

La deuxième contradiction survient quand Alain Claude Bilié Bi Nzé nous dit que Jean Ping s’allie avec des gens avec lesquels il n’aurait rien en commun. On se demande bien ce que veut bien vouloir exprimer Bilié Bi Nzé dans cette affirmation. Veut-il dire que Jean Ping de par les prestigieuses fonctions qu’il a occupées, au Gabon et à l’extérieur, serait trop élevé en prestige pour s’acoquiner des membres de l’opposition au Gabon? Si c’est cela le font de la pensée de Bilié Bi Nzé, il serait bon de lui rappeler que Casimir Oye Mba a été longtemps l’un des plus prestigieux représentant du Gabon à l’extérieur et pourtant il s’est déclaré opposant au régime Ali Bongo et rejoignit les rangs de l’Union Nationale. Si par contre Bilié Bi Nzé faisait référence à la filiation privée entre Ping et les Bongo, on lui rappellera aussi que la même filiation existe entre les Bongo et les Myboto sans que cela n’empêche les uns et les autres de vivre leurs indépendances politiques. Si l’on part du principe que les hommes soient libres en droits, alors on devrait accepter que les gens s’unissent et se désunissent de qui ils veulent, en toute liberté.

La troisième remarque que nous ferons est celle de la sempiternelle menace du pouvoir de révéler le contenu de ses fameux audits. Chers lecteurs, c’est devenu presqu’un automatisme, quand un ancien baron du régime Bongo passe dans l’opposition, le premier reflex du régime est de brandir comme une épée de Damoclès sur sa tête, la menace de révéler leur participation à des supposées malversation financières. Souvenez-vous de la menace qui fut faite à Jean Eyeghe-Ndong et Casimir Oye Mba à l’époque, par Ali Bongo et affidés, de les épingler grâce aux audits de la gestion des fonds des fêtes tournantes. Ces audits ont été parait-il réalisés et on n’a pas entendu parler de la culpabilité de Jean Eyeghe-Ndong ni de celle de Casimir Oye Mba. Vous vous souviendrez aussi des menaces à peine voilées faite à René Ndemezo’Obiang sur les audits de la gestion du dossier de la CAN 2012. Jusqu’aujourd’hui, ces menaces restent lettres mortes. C’est au tour de Jean Ping de se faire menacer de révélation de sa participation à la gestion du pétrole Gabonais et à celle du dossier Belinga. Ce blog verrait d’un très bon œil la mise sur la place publique de l’épais dossier de la gestion du pétrole gabonais. On verra bien qui en a le plus profité et nous ne pensons pas que ce soit Jean Ping; car Samuel Dossou qui est le père du gendre d’Ali Bongo, pourrait nous éclairer sur l’appartenance des comptes offshores bourrés de pétrodollars gabonais. Quant au dossier Belinga, il semble que tous ceux qui se déclarent de l’opposition aient été tous comme par hasard, les instigateurs de ce dossier. Hier on nous a dit que ce dossier avait été piloté par Casimir Oye Mba, puis par Eyeghe Ndong et aujourd’hui on ajoute Jean Ping à la liste. Avant la fin de la semaine en cours, on va accuser Jean Ping d’avoir voulu, avec André Mba Obame, vendre l’Ile de Mbanié à…la Guinée Equatoriale. Comme c’est amusant de regarder les gesticulations du pouvoir!

Chers lecteurs, il est clair qu’en 4 ans de pouvoir, Ali Bongo balbutie toujours car il lui est impossible de fédérer les Gabonais. C’est un incapable. Ce régime est à pousser dehors et les Gabonais libres doivent s’en donner les moyens, avec toutes les bonnes volontés. Les contradictions du régime démontrent sa fébrilité. Poussons!
