In light of current events, the philosopher would certainly ask who from the people or the Ali Bongo’s regime might really be "poor" in Gabon; for the moral and spiritual poverty is deeper than the material one.

Remember dear readers, in 2010 the couple Ali and Sylvia Bongo undertook with a lot of media coverage, what they called "the caravan deep Gabon deep", that is to say, the terrestrial connection path between Libreville and Franceville. For this trip, the regime mobilized the state rolling and flying means, and the state television channel filming Ali and his sweetheart going to "meet" the population living on this road. The regime's propaganda even said that the aim of this trip was to give the presidential couple the opportunity to be "soaked" (a local aphorism) into the realities affecting these populations and thus meet their urgent needs. The raving official Journal of the regime, L’Union, even printed that through this caravan, Ali Bongo was able to ascertain the realities of deep Gabon, up to spending the night in the village of Masseleguelani, which is inhabited by Pygmies. One would think that after such a journey, Ali Bongo would have realized the extreme poverty in which lived the Gabonese people, but apparently not; to realize that the Gabonese were poor, Ali Bongo has had to turn to the Consulting Firm McKinsey & Co., for them to tell him. Do not laugh, Ali Bongo was so convinced by this firm, that he convened the Gabonese political class around the fire to discuss the thorny issue of poverty, he has just discovered!

Also in 2010, Ali Bongo and his wife went on another publicized visit in the popular neighborhood of Kinguélé, where poverty cannot be concealed, even with the most ingenious efforts in the world. We were told that the visit was intended for Ali Bongo and his wife to "reconnect with populations of under-integrated neighborhoods and touch with their fingers the harsh realities of life in the precincts, to consider pragmatically how to improve them." Four years later, poverty in Kinguélé is more exponential than ever and it is the Consulting firm McKinsey & Co, via a big contract, which has just reminded Ali Bongo of things he should already know! What a pity!

Remember also, dear readers, that in 2011, a dramatic actress named Sylvia Bongo visited the General Hospital of Libreville and was overtaken by emotions when she found out that mothers gave birth on the floor. Before the cameras of state television, always at the ready, she then shed tears in a way to remind people that, after all, Gabon was her land, her future ... her homeland. But only a few years later, it took the services of McKinsey & Co., for suddenly bring poverty in Gabon back to the front burner by this pair of comedians who are Ali and Sylvia Bongo.

Au regard des évènements, le philosophe se demanderait certainement qui du peuple ou du régime Ali Bongo est vraiment «pauvre» au Gabon; car la pauvreté morale et spirituel est plus profonde que la pauvreté matérielle.

Souvenez-vous chers lecteurs, qu’en 2010, le couple Ali et Sylvia Bongo avait à grand renfort de couverture médiatique, effectué ce qu’il a appelé «la caravane Gabon profond», c'est-à-dire la liaison par voie terrestre de Libreville et Franceville. Pour ce périple, le régime avait mobilisé les moyens roulants et volants de l’Etat, ainsi que la Chaine de télévision d’Etat qui filmait Ali et sa dulcinée allant à la «rencontre» des populations vivant sur cet axe routier. La propagande du régime nous avait même dit que ce périple avait pour but de donner au couple présidentiel, l’occasion de «s’imprégner» (un Simangoyisme) des réalités affectant ces populations et de répondre à leurs urgentes attentes. Le dithyrambique journal officiel du régime, L’Union, nous dira même que cette caravane, Ali Bongo avait pu s’enquérir des réalités du Gabon profond, allant jusqu'à passer la nuit au village Masseleguelani, qui est peuplé de Pygmées. On aurait cru qu’après un tel périple, Ali Bongo eut réalisé l’extrême pauvreté dans laquelle vivaient les Gabonais; mais apparemment, non; pour se rendre compte que les Gabonais étaient pauvres, Ali Bongo a du se tourner vers le Cabinet de Consulting McKinsey & Co., pour qu’il le lui dise. Ne riez pas, Ali Bongo a tellement été convaincu par ce cabinet, qu’il a convoqué la classe politique gabonaise, autour du feu, pour discuter de cette épineuse question de la pauvreté, qu’il découvre à peine!

Toujours en 2010, Ali Bongo et son épouse effectuaient une autre visite médiatisée dans le quartier populaire de Kinguélé, où la pauvreté ne peut être dissimulée, même avec les efforts les plus ingénieux du monde. On nous avait dit que cette visite avait pour but de «renouer le contact avec les populations des quartiers sous-intégrés et toucher du doigt les dures réalités de la vie dans les circonscriptions administratives, en vue d’envisager de manière pragmatique leur amélioration». Quatre ans plus tard, la pauvreté à Kinguélé est plus exponentiel que jamais et c’est le Cabinet de Consulting McKinsey & Co qui moyennant un gros contrat, vient rappeler à Ali Bongo des choses qu’il devrait déjà savoir! Quel malheur!

Souvenez-vous encore, chers lecteurs, qu’en 2011, une actrice dramatique du nom de Sylvia Bongo visitait l’Hôpital General de Libreville et fut prise d’émotions quand elle constata que des mères accouchaient à même le sol. Devant les caméras de la télévision d’Etat, toujours au rendez-vous, elle versa alors de chaudes larmes comme pour rappeler aux gens qu’après tout, le Gabon était bien sa terre, son futur… sa patrie. Mais seulement, quelques années plus tard, il a fallu engager les services du Cabinet McKinsey & Co., pour que soudainement la pauvreté des gabonais soit remise au gout du jour par ce couple de comédiens que sont Ali et Sylvia Bongo.
