THE US ADMINISTRATION PUTS PRESSURE ON OLIGUI-NGUEMA! L’ADMINISTRATION AMÉRICAINE MET LA PRESSION À OLIGUI-NGUEMA !

According to information from the magazine Jeune Afrique, the American administration is currently pressuring the Gabonese regime for a return to constitutional order and democratic plurality in the near future.

 

To this end, Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema has been invited to Washington, during the next United Nations General Assembly to be held in New York, to discuss the modalities of the implementation of the return to constitutional order.

 

The promise of a return to constitutional order involved several crucial steps:

 

1.            The Inclusive Dialogue: An inclusive national dialogue whose promoters say that all the political and social forces of the country have reached consensus on the way forward in several governance areas.

 

2.            Institutional reforms: unfortunately, they are still awaited.

 

3.            Transparent elections: the organization of the presidential election is essential to restore a democratically elected government. But the modalities of its organization remain unclear.

 

It is only after this return to constitutional order that the international community could officially re-engage with Gabon.

D’après des informations provenant du magazine Jeune Afrique, l'administration américaine ferait en ce moment pression sur le régime Gabonais, pour un retour prochain a l’ordre constitutionnel et à la pluralité démocratique.

 

A cet effet, Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema aurait été invité à Washington, lors de la prochaine Assemblée générale des Nations Unies se tenant à New York, pour discuter des modalités de la mise en place du retour à l’ordre constitutionnel.

 

La promesse du retour à l’ordre constitutionnel impliquait plusieurs étapes cruciales :

 

1.       Le Dialogue Inclusif : Un dialogue national inclusif dont les promoteurs affirment que toutes les forces politiques et sociales du pays sont parvenues à des consensus sur la voie à suivre dans plusieurs dossiers de gouvernance.

 

2.       Des réformes institutionnelles : elles se font toujours attendre, malheureusement.

 

3.       Des élections transparentes : l'organisation de l’élection présidentielle est indispensable pour rétablir un gouvernement démocratiquement élu. Mais les modalités de son organisation restent floues.

 

Ce n’est qu’après ce retour à l’ordre constitutionnel que la communauté internationale pourrait se réengager officiellement avec le Gabon.
