On Friday 16 August 2024, Kamala Harris who is running for the presidency of the United States of America, gave a speech in North Carolina. In that speech, she laid out in details her economic agenda if she gets elected. It was precise and specific.

 

In Gabon, Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema is also going to run for president. He is actually already campaigning. However, if you were to ask what is his economic agenda for Gabon? No one could you an answer. There are simply no specifics.

 

What is Kamala Harris economic vision?

 

1.       Ms. Harris emphasized the cost of housing as a barrier to economic prosperity. She proposed giving first-time home buyers up to $25,000 in down payment assistance and called for the construction of three million housing units that would be affordable for the middle class.

2.       She proposed a new $6,000 tax credit for parents with a child in the first year of life and a $2,000 cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs for all Americans.

3.       She is also promising $40 billion worth of tax incentives for developers who build starter homes.

4.       Harris’s economic plan pushes for the construction of 3 million new housing units over the next four years.

 

The American public knows exactly what they are going to be voting for, economically. Now, dear readers, why can’t Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema do something like that? Why can’t he be as specific about what he would do?

Le vendredi 16 août 2024, Kamala Harris, candidate à la présidence des États-Unis d'Amérique, a prononcé un discours en Caroline du Nord. Dans ce discours, elle a exposé en détail son programme économique si elle était élue. C'était précis et spécifique.

 

Au Gabon, Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema va également se présenter à la présidentielle. Il est en fait déjà en campagne. Cependant, si vous demandiez quel est son programme économique pour le Gabon ? Personne ne pourrait vous répondre. Il n'y a tout simplement pas de détails.

 

Quelle est la vision économique de Kamala Harris ?

 

1.            Mme Harris a souligné que le coût du logement est un obstacle à la prospérité économique. Elle a proposé d'accorder aux acheteurs d'une première maison jusqu'à 25000 dollars en aide à l’apport personnel et a demandé la construction de trois millions de logements à bons prix pour la classe moyenne.

2.       Elle a proposé une nouvelle exonération d'impôt de 6000 dollars pour les parents ayant un enfant dans la première année de sa vie et un plafond de 2000 dollars sur les coûts des médicaments d'ordonnance pour tous les Américains.

3.       Elle promet également 40 milliards de dollars d'incitations fiscales pour les promoteurs immobiliers qui construiront des maisons de démarrage.

4.       Le plan économique d’Harris préconise la construction de 3 millions de nouveaux logements au cours des quatre prochaines années.

 

Le public américain sait exactement pour quoi il va voter, sur le plan économique. Maintenant, chers lecteurs, pourquoi Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema ne peut-il pas faire quelque chose de similaire ? Pourquoi ne peut-il pas être aussi précis sur ce qu'il ferait ?
