English version   Dear readers, today Gabonese are poorer than yesterday’s, while the country is richer. Why this paradox?   Today, those in power in Gabon increasingly intend to live in a closed circuit; both in housing and in the economy, to better retain power. They drain towards them all the resources of the country, which allow them to enjoy an existence of luxury and almost aristocratic refinement, at a time when all the state media, under the control of these same people in power, still extol in a kind of denial, the joys and virtues of their governance.   Dear readers, many clues convince us of the fact that the rulers of Gabon have decided that it is better for them to deal with uneducated and poor popular masses; to better dominate them. For this, the regime is working to lower the sense of honor and spirituality within the population.   Destroying the education and health systems, to restrict access to these sectors to only a few, often of forei

ELECTORALISM IS THE SPARE WHEEL OF BONGOISM! L’ÉLECTORALISME EST LA ROUE DE SECOURS DU BONGOÏSME!

English version   In 1990 in Africa, as the USSR collapsed, France realized that the fall of the Berlin Wall could provoke a revolutionary wave in Africa. Africans wanted to free themselves from one-party tutelage and establish a multi-party system.   France did not want just any multiparty system; It wanted a multiparty system prescribed and controlled by them. It had to be administered to Africans through national conferences that would give Africans illusions of control over their destiny; but which in fact were only valves that allowed dictators to stay in power.   National conferences spawned the electoralism we see today in Africa. As long as the peoples of Africa thought that salvation lay in voting; it was enough to control the institutions validating the elections, and they could continue quietly to rule in Gabon, Cameroon, Congo, Togo, Chad etc.   The democratic renewal that was enshrined in the 1990s was not designed to open the door to new political

English version   Dear readers, the image above is not that of a dignitary being transported in a carrying chair in the hinterland. No; this image is that of a sick person in deep Gabon, whom compatriots are trying to bring to a care center, using the only mode of transport at their disposal: the carrying chair. Dear readers, this is serious!   But unfortunately, this compatriot died when arriving at a hospital. The carrying chair certainly took too long to get there.   All Gabonese would expect that the wrenches of their destitution would alter a little the enjoyable appetites of the prebendary junta in power. But that would be too much to ask of people whose probity is far from being one of the first qualities.   For populations who rush a little more every day, in the terrors of poverty, to multiple deprivations is added unfortunately and cruelly unfortunately also, disease. This state of affairs digs a little more a yawning chasm between a people condemned

THE LATEST NEWS ON THE DINA CASE: THE AUTOPSY REPORT IS INCONCLUSIVE ! LES DERNIÈRES NOUVELLES CONCERNANT L’AFFAIRE DINA : LE RAPPORT D’AUTOPSIE EST INCONCLUSIF !

Image
Gabonese side’s lawyer L’avocat de la partie Gabonaise       English version   The Turkish press has just informed us that the autopsy report of the Gabonese Dina does not give a clear answer for the reason of her death: suicide or murder? The question therefore remains.   The final autopsy report of the Institute of Forensic Medicine has been published. The report claims Dina ended up in the water, but did not determine whether it was a murder or suicide. The report also states that no illicit substances were found in Dina's blood. The only drugs detected in her body were allergy remedies.   The report found no signs of strangulation in Dina's neck area. But curiously, this report notes that the zipper of Dina's pants was torn, but in the same vein says there was no trace of sexual assault.   The panel of 9 experts who participated in the autopsy considered that it was necessary to shed light on this case by a forensic investigation.   Kerim

WHEN ALAIN-CLAUDE BILIÉ-BY-NZE WROTE BAD CHECKS, DID HE WANT TO LIVE BEYOND HIS MEANS? QUAND ALAIN -CLAUDE BILIÉ-BY-NZE FAISAIT DES CHÈQUES SANS PROVISIONS, VOULAIT-IL VIVRE AU DESSUS DE SES MOYENS ?

Image
English version   The high cost of living is a simpler way for the layman to designate what in economics is called inflation. What is inflation?   Inflammation is the phenomenon that occurs when the prices of basic goods and services such as food, energy, transportation and clothing become more expensive and the cost of living increases. It's as simple as that.   Instead of presenting Gabonese with an economic analysis worthy of his position as head of government, Gabonese Prime Minister Alain-Claude Bilie-By-Nze simply told them that if they felt a high cost of living, it was certainly because they wanted to live beyond their means. This is unacceptable at his level of responsibility.   Memory takes us back to 2008. Indeed, on January 8, 2008, twelve days after leaving government, Alain Claude Bilié-Bi-Nzé, former Deputy Minister in charge of Transport, Civil Aviation and Tourism, was incarcerated in the prison of Libreville for issuing a bad check.   A

YOUNG GABONESE NO LONGER BELIEVE IN THE PROMISE OF A FUTURE IN GABON ! LES JEUNES GABONAIS NE CROIENT PLUS EN LA PROMESSE D’UN FUTUR AU GABON !

English version   The English newspaper The Guardian published a survey conducted by an English institute that interviewed young people from several African countries by asking them a simple question: "Do you think your country is on the right or the wrong track?   The young Africans most optimistic about their country are young Rwandans and Ghanaians, 60% and 56% respectively said that they are optimistic about the direction of their country.   For Gabon, this poll shows that only 33% of young Gabonese think that the country is on the right track, while 67% that is to say double, think the opposite.   These results are consistent with the empirical truth observed in the field. Indeed, how many young university graduates in Gabon regularly tell us that they want to emigrate? They want to leave Gabon because of the lack of prospects and are even encouraged to leave by their families.   In Gabon, higher education has become a bottleneck. Unemployment is ris
