APPARENTLY GABON DOES NOT RESPECT ITS PRODUCTION QUOTAS WITHIN OPEC! APPAREMMENT LE GABON NE RESPECTE PAS SES QUOTAS DE PRODUCTION AU SEIN DE L’OPEP !

Image
English version
According to Africa Intelligence, Gabon is with Congo Brazzaville, the dunce of OPEC, because it does not respect the rules decided by OPEC for a drop in world production of 10% which should stimulate an increase in prices. Gabon would have seen its throughput soar, going from 187,000 b / d in 2018 to 226,000 b / d in May 2020; while they were asked not to exceed 144,000 b / d.
Pressured by OPEC to cut production, the Gabonese petroleum ministry is now putting pressure on the oil companies.
Indeed, Gabonese Minister of Petroleum Vincent de Paul Massassa, reportedly asked his director of hydrocarbons Jean-Félix Obamba, to obtain from the oil companies a reduction in their production of at least 20%. Maurel & Prom would have already agreed to drop from 28,000 to 22,000 b / d. Assala Energy, on the other hand, has not yet reacted. Total also has not yet applied the drop in production.
The good students in Africa, having scrupulously respected their quota, are Algeria and …

IN GABON, THE REGIME IS HAPPY TO STAY STILL! AU GABON, LE RÉGIME SE REJOUIT DE FAIRE DU SUR-PLACE !

Dear readers, as you can see above, in June 2018, the rating agency Moody’s granted Gabon a rating of Caa1. A year later in June 2019, Gabon received the same poor rating from the same agency. Now, the ratings for June 2020 have just been released and reveal that Gabon still received the same poor rating of Caa1. But curiously, the Gabonese Minister of Economy is climbing on electric poles with happiness because he has received the same poor notation for the third consecutive year!
But what's wrong with the dunces who run us?
It is a bit as if a student who receives an average of 7/20 in the first quarter, then another 7/20 in the second quarter and another 7/20 in the third quarter, goes to their parents smiling and asking them to for gifts because he would consider himself to be very consistent!
Please!

WHY IS AFRICA NOT PARTICIPATING IN INNOVATION IN THE WORLD? POURQUOI L’AFRIQUE NE PARTICIPE PAS À L’INNOVATION DANS LE MONDE ?

Image
English version
When the majority of the world when into lockdown due to the pandemic caused by the coronavirus, it became necessary for business to be conducted using the internet. One application became widely used all over the world for this purpose: Zoom.
Zoom is a U.S. company, publicly traded on the NASDAQ on Wall Street. It was founded by a Chinese-American and is headquartered in San Jose, California.
Recently, wanting to capitalize on the need to provide solutions for internet meetings, an Indian company called Reliance Jio, has launched JioMeet, a video conferencing application that would bring competition to Zoom.
Dear readers, this is how innovation works. There is a problem and then creative people start to come up with solutions to that problem. To bring these solutions, it might be necessary for creative smart people to copy existing technology and improve on them.
Smart people know that copying in its essence is not bad; a lot of innovations have drawn inspiration from oth…

CORONAVIRUS SPREADS VERY WELL IN TROPICAL COUNTRIES! LE CORONAVIRUS SE PROPAGENT TRÈS BIEN DANS LES PAYS TROPICAUX!

English version
Speculation had been made throughout the coronavirus pandemic saying that when summer arrive with warmer temperatures, the coronavirus will fade away, much like the seasonal flu, because it did not survive at higher temperatures.
However, little evidence was provided to support that assumption. A recent study from Researchers at the University of Aix-Marseille in France, found that heat does not easily inactivate Sars-COV-2, unless you roast the virus for 15 minutes at 92 degrees celcius.
The study demonstrated that the virus survived when subjected to the usual heat-decontamination measures of 60 degrees Celsius. The virus not only stayed viable when heated for an entire hour at 60 degrees but also managed to replicate.
These findings show that the virus will very well endure hotter climates.

THE COPIL IS NO LONGER A PUBLIC GOOD ENTITY! LE COPIL N’EST PLUS UNE ENTITÉ D’UTILITÉ PUBLIQUE!

Image
English version

The Coronavirus Steering Committee in Gabon (or Copil), was supposed to be the key player in driving the response to this pandemic in the country, on behalf of the Gabonese state.

To operate the Copil, the Gabonese state has taken out many loans totaling several hundred billion CFA francs.

Dear readers, it is therefore surprising to note that this same Copil has just decided to charge people for the so-called VIP coronavirus screening test, for 20,000 CFA francs.

Where have the huge sums received by the Gabonese government for the fight against the Coronavirus gone? Who could give us a succinct answer?

We will not give up !

THE ADB FANCIFUL FIGURES! LES CHIFFRES FANTAISISTES DE LA BAD !

According to AfDB figures, the Gabonese diaspora annually sends to Gabon only the equivalent of 5,000 dollars or less than 3 million CFA francs per year. These AfDB figures are simply fanciful because this blog is in possession of evidence proving that a single member of the Gabonese diaspora in France, has sent to their family in Gabon, since January 2020, more than 10,000 euros . Where does the AfDB get its figures remains a mystery. What we can tell you is that these are fanciful.

AFRICANS MUST RENAME OR UNBOLT COLONIAL MONSTERS’ SYMBOLS! LES AFRICAINS DOIVENT DÉBAPTISER OU DÉBOULONNER LES SYMBOLES DES MONSTRES COLONIAUX !

Image
English version
Christopher Columbus is considered a hero in the western world for having been a great explorer. However for Native Americans, indigenous people of South America and Africans, Christopher Columbus was a cruel monster. He is known to have particularly enjoyed raping nine-year-old little South American girls and killing their parents. The country of Colombia is named after him.
People who say that we shouldn’t judge historical figures by the standard of our time, are absolutely wrong because enslaving, killing, raping and genociding people have always been understood as evil, regardless of the era. The victims, living at the very same time as these monsters, certainly knew that their tormentors were not normal; they were evil monsters. When people came from Europe to enter Africa with the intention of capturing slaves, there were no subtlety about their mission. It was brutal and genocidal.
When Europeans colonized millions of people across the world, they justified this th…

GABON GOES IN DEBT AGAIN FOR THE BUILDING OF A DAM! LE GABON S’ENDETTE A NOUVEAU POUR LA CONSTRUCTION D’UN BARRAGE !

English version
Africa Intelligence tells us that Gabon, via the Gabonese Fund for Strategic Investments (FGIS) that Nourredin Bongo-Valentin leads, would be in the process of finalizing with the IFC (International Finance Corporation, of the World Bank group) and the ADB (African Developpement Bank), new loans on the pretext of financing a new dam in Kinguélé, known as Kinguélé aval.
IFC is expected to provide two loans to Gabon totaling $ 65 million (38 billion CFA francs) for this project. The second donor of this project, the ADB is expected to provide a loan of between $ 40 and $ 50 million, or between 23 and 30 billion CFA francs.
In addition, the consortium in charge of the project, Asonha Energy, which brings together the FGIS and the French fund specializing in infrastructure, Meridiam, will finance with their own equity, the rest of the total cost of the project, estimated at around 186 million dollars or 108 billion CFA francs. This dam should provide SEEG's electrical net…

CAN WE EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE GABONESE GOVERNMENT? POUVONS-NOUS ÉVALUER L'EFFICACITÉ DU GOUVERNEMENT GABONAIS?

Image
English version
Each of us serves as a self-contained big data processor, tagging data elements in our own minds and using that information to measure the effectiveness of the people who govern us
To evaluate the government’s performance, we have retained 5 objective criteria:
Respectability: do the Gabonese people trust their government? Do they feel well represented by those in high offices?
Transparency: what is the degree of openness of the government and do we trust their reports and figures?
Economics: is the country economics performance very sound? Do the government economic policies deliver good value for the country?
Public Goods: are the products and services provided by the government improving the quality of life of the Gabonese people?
Social Goods: is the government promoting social, procedural, and economic justice in Gabon?
Dear readers, for this blog, the Ali Bongo regime fails on all 5 criteria. Their performance is truly abysmal.

We will not give up!

FOR THOSE WHO WOULD DARE ASK YOU WHAT RACISM IS! POUR CEUX QUI OSERAIENT VOUS DEMANDER CE QU’EST LE RACISME !

English version
For those who pretend not to know what racism is or who feign to ignore its historical impact, we offer this demonstration:
The picture above shows George McLaurin, the first black man admitted to the University of Oklahoma in the USA, in 1948. It was a decision of the United States Supreme Court concerning his application to that university that forced the institution to admit him because he was very qualified.
By decision of the US Supreme Court, that University was required to allow McLaurin into the school, but the administrators of that university decided to keep him entirely segregated from the other students; in classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, and restrooms.
In the classroom, he was forced to sit in a corner far from his white classmates. Nevertheless, he graduated as one of the three best students of the university. In his memoir he wrote:
"Some colleagues would look at me like I was an animal, no one would give me a word, the teachers seemed like they were …

Harvard, one of the world premier institutions of higher learning, has announced on Monday, 6 July 2020, that the entirety of its courses for the forthcoming academic year will be moved online. According to the press release, Harvard administrators consider that without a vaccine, or effective clinical treatments for Covid-19, they could not reopen their campus and their classes without risk. They have worked closely with leading epidemiologists and medical experts to define an approach that will protect the health and safety of their students and professors, while also protecting their academic effort to provide students with the conditions they need to be successfully taught.
About 40% of undergraduate students will be allowed to live on campus, because they need to conduct research, or they are from foreign countries etc. However, even for these students living on campus, all classes will take place online and their dormitories will be set up with emphasis on social d…

His real name is Ramoni Igbalode Abbas, that Nigerian called himself Ray Hushpuppi, and he was an Instagram star where he had millions of followers who wanted to watch his every move in the fast-paced life of opulence and luxurious that was his lifestyle.
That man loved to feed his ego on social media by showing how wealthy he was. The problem is that he was never wealthy; he was a scammer. He was caught in the United Arab Emirate and extradited to the United States where he would undoubtedly spend a good part of his life behind bars.
He is accused of stealing and laundering hundreds of millions of dollars through cybercrime schemes. This young man is not from a rich social background, he had no known level of technical education, skill, competence, or credentials that could have allowed him to have the kind of opulent lifestyle he daily displays on his Instagram account.

Gabonese people, let's learn to play chess!
Politics is a game of chess, a friend with whom a was chatting a few days ago opportunely reminded me of that. We were debating the decriminalization of homosexuality. In chess, we said, the piece to watch with the eagle eye is called "the bishop". It is a deceptive piece that takes attention away, opens up false avenues for the opponent, while their holder feeds on other calculations and carefully advances their centerpiece, the "king".
It is therefore the "Bishop" who opens the way to victory for the "king" who is waiting to ambush. Thus placed forward, they prepare strategies that allow them to achieve one or even several objectives at the same time.
On the political scene, it is exactly the same pattern. Whoever has the ability or the intelligence to deceive the vigilance of their opponent wins.
Hats off to Julien Nkoghe Bekale who was able to impose on the national representation an…

This article was published by Marlene Daut, a professor at the University of Virginia in the USA, on 30 June 2020

In the wake of George Floyd’s killing, there have been calls for defunding police departments and demands for the removal of statues. The issue of reparations for slavery has also resurfaced.
Much of the reparations debate has revolved around whether the United States and the United Kingdom should finally compensate some of their citizens for the economic and social costs of slavery that still linger today.
But to me, there’s never been a more clear-cut case for reparations than that of Haiti.
I’m a specialist on colonialism and slavery, and what France did to the Haitian people after the Haitian Revolution is a particularly notorious examples of colonial theft. France instituted slavery on the island in the 17th century, but, in the late 18th century, the enslaved population rebelled and eventually declared independence. Yet, somehow, in the 19th c…
