The IMF has just declared that debt service would consume 60% of Gabon’s government revenues. This warning underscores the fact that Gabon’s economy might be overburdened by the high cost of debt servicing.
According to this article published by the Financial Times, Gabon is in the red. In this article, Jan Friederich, a director of the Fitch Rating Agency says: “The long-term forces that are driving up debt are not really under control.”

WHY IS IT ALWAYS INDEPENDENT MINDS WHO SHOULD ENLIGHTEN THE GABONESE PEOPLE INSTEAD OF THE REGIME? POURQUOI CE SONT TOUJOURS LES ESPRITS INDÉPENDANTS QUI DOIVENT ÉCLAIRER LES GABONAIS À LA PLACE DU RÉGIME ?

Gabon still claims to be governed by the formula of a parliamentary regime, meaning having a government composed of ministers under the authority of a Prime Minister whose action is controlled by the parliament.
The main responsibility of such a government is to justify its decisions to the parliament which accepts or rejects them on behalf of the sovereign people. In such a system, the Head of State acts as an arbitrator and guarantor of the continuity of the institutions. But that's academic, because the situation on the ground in Gabon is very different.
Any government decision must therefore be explained to the people through the parliament, to determine its political, economic, social or even strategic value in terms of international relations.
When a regime takes a decision as essential as the revision of the pension plan for all workers, without asking the opinion of the first concerned, this means that the country walks on its head.
When in addition, after annou…

This week, once again, we have proof that dictators do not end well. They can spend a long time in power, but they never learn about leaving power gracefully; no they want to die in power and thus, they force the people to eventually take action against them.
One way or the other, the Gabonese people will have to step in to end the scourge of the Bongos in Gabon. The depredation of the Gabonese people is acute, as the results of the corrupt and cruel Bongo’s regime is in full display.
Things are so bad that Ali Bongo no longer knows what to do with the Gabonese people. He has few options:
1. First option has been to starve and impoverish us, so they we would be too broken and would have to be grateful to him for crumbs; so we would never dare to rise against him.
2. The second is to ply us with corruption, so much that many of us would become content to trade freedom for comfort, and accept the plundering of the country for as long as they get their cut.
Either option will n…

Like those small European foremen that CFAO or Hatton & Cookson sent to Gabon and Middle Congo, to take care of their trading posts; and who, once on the ground, were transported on a portable chair or tipoye, by those whom they called "natives"; Brice Laccruche Alihanga went to show his self-importance to the needy nationals of Haut-Ogooué, by indulging in a supposedly folkloric, caricatural show, which would have wanted to serve as a cultural immersion in what he called his native soil.
In lieu of crying with sadness for our compatriots of Haut-Ogooue that were lugged under the sun because of the promised of the opportunity to earn a small banknote, let's laugh instead.
Let's laugh because this regime still thinks that this kind of shameful exhibition resonates with the Gabonese people.
But we remain sad for our compatriots of Haut-Ogooué, who see their idle young people without concrete ideals, being mobi…

TO PUSH THE RETIREMENT AGE TO 63 IS A WAY OF ROBBING THE GABONESE PEOPLE. FAIRE RECULER LA RETRAITE A 63 ANS EST UNE MANIÈRE DE VOLER LES GABONAIS

Image
English version

Ali Bongo and his regime plan to do as France, that is to say to increase the retirement age of Gabonese workers to 63 years old. Beginning in 2017, in France, the minimum age for retirement was set at 62; previously it had been at 60 years old. But here, what is valid for France, will only be theft for the Gabonese people. Let us explain:
1. Life expectancy in France: 79.4 years for men and 85.4 years for women (2016 figures). That's an average of 82.4 years.
2. Life expectancy in Gabon: as usual, the figures vary according to the sources. Gabonese government sources place it optimistically at an average of 64.89 years; while others, such as the UN and FAO, estimate it at 52 years old. The margin of error being so great, we will take for our analysis, the optimistic figures given by the Gabonese government.
3. The age pyramid in France: the 2017 age pyramid published by INSEE shows that 20% of the French population is 65 and over and that, on average, the members of t…

Dear readers and resistants, our opponents have just obtained, certainly using arguments of threats to the security of Gabon, as they often tried to do with our blog; the suppression of the superb chain "Je Dénonce 241", which allowed people like Jean Gaspard Ntoutoume-Ayi, Laurence Ndong, Fabien Méré and many others, to speak directly to the Gabonese people and to the whole world and to express to them their reading of what was happening in Gabon.
As what happened to the newspaper Le Bucheron at the time, this channel had become too effective, it had to be killed, because when the resistant communicate, it is dangerous for the dictatorship.
Dear Resistants, this is only a step, because we know that you are at work, to put together something even more effective.
We will not give up!
