Dear readers, you have probably been amazed and amused to read that the PDG or UJPDG to be more precise, organized its "Summer University" in Koulamoutou, in the province of Ogooue-Lolo in southern Gabon. We knew that climate change was a serious phenomenon, but we were far from imagining that climate change had already transformed our Equatorial Africa dry seasons into a summer from the temperate and polar zones of the northern hemisphere of our planet. Indeed, summer is one of the four seasons of temperate zones, the other being fall, spring and winter. But if we dusted our Geography textbooks which we inherited from our national Frederic Meyo-Bibang, we would read that Gabon is characterized by an equatorial climate, hot and humid, with an average temperature of 26 ° C which varies slightly throughout of the year, there are two dry seasons: one from May to September and the other from December to January, alternating with rainy seasons. In other words, in Gabon, either it rains or it does not. On the African continent, to live in a temperate zone, one has to go to the ends of the continent, because the further away from the equator, the climate is more temperate. South Africa can speak in terms of summer and winter, Morocco or Algeria can mention summer and winter, but along the Bouenguidi river, sorry, no summer or winter to be had. In August, you are in the dry season, period!

But that is only the first stupid thing these people who govern us and although living in Gabon, have adopted without much thinking, terminologies like summer vacation, summer jobs etc., by pure imitation and intellectual laziness. If that is said in France, that must be cool and can also be said in Gabon to impress the ignorant. This is much easier than having to learn how to calculate the standard of living of the population. The second bullshit, the most serious for this blog is the use by the PDG, by pure transposition without worrying about the context, of the "Summer University" terminology. Where are we, at the circus? In education, summer Universities are courses that are taught in these institutions during the summer. The term most suitable for Gabon is what is called in primary and secondary schools: "vacation courses." In politics and in France only, the term "summer University" is a reappropriation of the summer university courses but this time in a context where a particular political party organizes a meeting of its leaders and activists during the summer vacation (this is France, a temperate zone), to reflect on the projects of the party in question in an intellectual environment, away from the administrative or professional routine. But in this strange land that is now Gabon, the ruling party has opted for the organization of a "summer University" in a region straddling the equator. Do these people measure the ridicule they cover themselves with every day?

Have you ever heard Westerners say that they would spend the dry season or the rainy season in Carcassonne, London, Berlin, Madrid or Copenhagen? No, they will spend in the places the winter, summer, spring or fall, because these are the seasons in existence in these climates and regions. But why is it always the Africans who must shamefully use terminologies that are nonsensical and that only prove the ignorance of those who adopt them?

Should they imitate anything like monkeys, without thinking? Should they because in the country that serves as a model for Gabon, France, they speak of Summer Universities, implement the same in Gabon, verbatim, without anyone in the political system that has ruled the country for 45 years, noticing this anachronism? Are they that stupid? Admittedly, no one is asking PDG members to become expert linguists, but still. After forty years of crap governance, stupid entertainment groups and yes men in all directions, we can understand that this machine to brainwash the Gabonese people that is the PDG can no longer change. But how much longer could thinking Gabonese continue to endure the imperturbable onslaught of stupidity inflicted upon them by these poorly educated rulers? If we know that the PDG is being encouraged in this behavior by the indifference of the Gabonese people who are unfortunately anesthetized; it is nevertheless the duty of those who still give themselves the right to think, to remind them of their unacceptable negligence because the PDG in 45 years of unchallenged power, has become a machine of mass destruction of the honor of the Gabonese people, their citizenship and intelligence; the effects of which are being felt in all sectors of the Gabonese national life. Forgetfulness, idiocy and impunity have being so instilled in the Gabonese social body, that they explain the total absence in the national education system, of programs articulating a civic reflection and studies or training leading to true excellence. Citizenship education is an orphan in Gabon and thus the results is a rampant poor citizenship, coupled with the criminalization of the state which have become the norm.

Meanwhile, Ali Bongo and his clan are living the good life and spending the people money in a grotesque way, distributing the anointing of the "Godfather" to their worshipers who in return approve everything that the regime does. Thus used to an education made of numbing video clips (fortunately not all, but most), fashion shows, beauty pageants, crappy pseudo-debates, the anesthetized people do not even know what to say when they are told about summer along the Bouenguidi river. Who knows, soon they would be told of "winter break" in Gabon!

Chers lecteurs, vous avez certainement été étonnés puis amusés de lire que le PDG ou l’UJPDG pour être plus précis, organisait ses « université d’été » à Koulamoutou, dans la province de l’Ogooué-Lolo dans le Sud du Gabon. Nous savions que le changement climatique était un phénomène sérieux mais nous étions loin de nous imaginer que le changement climatique ait déjà transformé nos saisons sèches d’Afrique Equatoriale en étés venus des zones tempérées et polaires de l’hémisphère nord de notre planète. En effet, l’été est l’une des quatre saisons des zones tempérées ; les autres étant l’automne, le printemps et l’hiver. Mais si on dépoussiérait nos précis de Géographie que nous ont légué nos Frédéric Meyo-Bibang nationaux, nous lirions pourtant que le Gabon se caractérise par un climat équatorial, chaud et humide, avec une température moyenne de 26 °C qui varie très légèrement au long de l'année; qu’il y a deux saisons sèches: l'une allant de mai à septembre et l'autre de décembre à janvier; alternant avec des saisons des pluies. En d’autres termes, au Gabon, soit il pleut, soit il ne pleut pas. Sur le continent Africain, pour vivre en zone tempérée, il faut aller aux extrémités du continent, car plus on s’éloigne de l’équateur, plus le climat devient tempéré. En Afrique du Sud on peut parler d’été et d’hiver; au Maroc ou en Algérie on peut parler d’été et d’hiver ; mais au bord de la Bouenguidi, désolé, point d’été ni d’hiver. En Aout, vous y êtes en saison sèche, point barre !

Mais ça, ce n’est que la première connerie de ces gens qui nous gouvernent et qui bien qu’au Gabon, ont adopté sans réfléchir des terminologies comme vacances d’été, stage d’été etc., par pur mimétisme et paresse intellectuelle. Si on le dit en France, c’est que c’est cool et on peut le dire aussi au Gabon pour épater les ignorants. C’est bien plus simple que devoir apprendre à calculer le niveau de vie de la population. La deuxième connerie, la plus grave pour ce blog, est l’utilisation par le PDG, en pure transposition sans se soucier du contexte, de la terminologie « université d’été ». Mais on est où là, au cirque ? En éducation, les universités d’été sont les cours qui se donnent en occidents dans ces institutions pendent la période estivale. Le terme le plus adapté au Gabon serait ce qu’on appelle au primaire et au secondaire : « les cours de vacances ». En politique et en France exclusivement, le terme « université d’été » est une réappropriation de ces cours universitaires estivaux mais cette fois dans un contexte où un parti politique donné réunirait ses responsables et ses militants pendant les vacances d’été (nous sommes en France, zone tempérée), pour réfléchir aux projets du parti en question dans un cadre intellectuel, loin de la routine administrative ou professionnelle. Mais dans cette étrange contrée qu’est devenue le Gabon, le parti au pouvoir a opté pour l’organisation «d’une université d’été» dans une région à cheval sur l’équateur. Ces gens mesurent-ils le ridicule dont ils se couvrent tous les jours?

Avez-vous jamais entendu les occidentaux affirmer qu’ils passeront la saison sèche ou la saison des pluies à Carcassonne, à Londres, à Berlin, à Madrid ou à Copenhague ? Non, ils y passeront les hivers, étés, printemps ou automnes, parce que ce sont les saisons en vigueur dans ces climats et ces régions. Mais pourquoi c’est la négraille qui doit toujours se couvrir de honte en utilisant des terminologies qui sont des non-sens et qui ne font que prouver l’inculture de ceux qui les adoptent?

Faut-il tout imiter comme un singe, sans réfléchir ? Faut-il parce que dans le pays qui sert de modèle au Gabon, la France, on parle d’université d’été, transposer la même chose au Gabon, in extenso, sans que personne dans cet appareil politique qui gouverne le pays depuis 45 ans, ne relève cet anachronisme ? Sont-ils à ce point bêtes, tarés ? Certes, on ne demande pas aux membres du PDG de devenir de fins linguistes, mais tout de même. Après une quarantaine d’années de gouvernance nullissime, de groupes d’animation débiles et de beni oui-ouisme tous azimuts, on peut comprendre que cette machine à décerveler les Gabonais qu’est le PDG, ne puisse plus changer. Mais les Gabonais pensants peuvent-ils supporter plus longtemps ces imperturbables assauts de stupidités que leur infligent ces incultes gouvernants ? Si on sait que le PDG agit sous les encouragements de l’indifférence d’un peuple, hélas, anesthésié; le devoir de ceux qui se donnent encore le droit de penser est de leur rappeler leur inacceptable incurie, car le PDG en 45 ans de pouvoir sans partage, est devenu une machine de destruction massive de l’honneur des gabonais, de leur citoyenneté et de leur intelligence; dont les effets ont cours dans tous les secteurs de la vie nationale Gabonaise. L’oubli, l’idiotie et l’impunité étant de la sorte instillés dans le corps social Gabonais, qu’ils expliquent l’absence totale dans le système éducatif national, de programmes articulant une réflexion citoyenne et l’étude ou apprentissage débouchant sur la véritable excellence. L’éducation à la citoyenneté est orpheline au Gabon et on comprend ainsi qu’une citoyenneté délinquante, couplée à la criminalisation de l’État soit devenue la norme.

Pendant ce temps, Ali Bongo et son clan mènent carrosse et grand train de manière ubuesque, distribuant l’onction du «parrain» à leurs adorateurs qui en retour approuvent toujours tout ce que fait le régime. C’est ainsi qu’habitués à subir une éducation faite de clips abrutissants (pas tous heureusement, mais la plupart), de défilés de mode, de concours de miss, de pseudo-débats foireux, le peuple anesthésié ne sait même plus que dire quand on lui parle d’été au bord de la Bouenguidi. Qui sait, prochainement on lui parlera aussi de la « trêve hivernale » au Gabon !
