La Lettre du Continent says in its latest edition that concerned about the arrest of his chief of staff, Ali Bongo received many visitors in his suite at the George V during his last visit to Paris. He received one after the other: Louis Dreyfus, CEO of Le Monde, which apparently also has its own forum they would propose to organize in Gabon, with a generous check from Ali Bongo (you guessed it). Surely, the organization of such Forums has become the new "clean" way by which African dictatorships corrupt media and French politicians. It is mind boggling, just for Gabon, there is Attias forum, the one by Liberation and now Le Monde’s one trhat is coming. It would have also received anne paugam, Director of AFD; Patrick Pouyanné, Total's boss; Antoine Frérot, CEO of Veolia; and Adam Nossiter, of the New York Times.

La Lettre du Continent also paints a picture of the mission entrusted to Christian Magnagna to deal with financial disputes between the regime and several of its creditors. He takes over this matter which was previously managed by Yves Fernand-Manfoumbi. The first emergency for Christian Magnagna would be the seizure of the Pozzo Di Borgo mansion located on the rue de l'Université, which was made following a complaint by Guido Santullo, CEO of the Sericom group, for unpaid debt of more than 130 billion CFA francs (€ 200 million). The Italian businessman reportedly asked Ana Atallah of the Reed Smith law firm, to recovery this debt of 130 billion CFA francs. It is this lawyer who orchestrated the seizure of the mansion from a real estate company whose manager is none other than Maixent Accrombessi.

La Lettre du Continent informs us of the conversion of the former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, to a business lawyer. He has created a law firm called " Villepin international," and it is in this context that he would participate in the citizens' forum organized by the French daily Libération in Libreville (certainly with an incentive check).

Speaking of the citizen forum, La Lettre du Continent says that despite the hostility of of some of its staff, the management of Liberation wanted to organize its citizen forums in Libreville, Gabon. This forum is a financial operation for Liberation to counteract losses in France; and was wanted by Pierre Fraidenraich, the director of operations, and Laurent Joffrin, the director of publication. In an attempt to dampen the critics of the choice of a country like Gabon whose image is rather negative, Libération insisted on inviting the participation of Transparency International and Reporters Without Borders. Half of the operating budget of the forum is supposedly supported by the regime, the rest is assumed to be supported by private partners. We know this music; these so called private partners are none other than the Bongos, which means that it is the Gabonese taxpayers who will pay the 100% of the bill. Ali Bongo wants to use this forum to demonstrate that organizations which accused him in the case of ill-gotten gains case are now his "friends"!

La Lettre du Continent nous dit dans sa dernière édition qu’inquiet de l’arrestation de son directeur de cabinet, Ali Bongo a beaucoup reçu, dans sa suite de l’hôtel George V, lors de son dernier passage à Paris. Il a y a notamment reçu tour à tour : Louis Dreyfus, le PDG du journal Le Monde, qui apparemment a lui aussi son forum qu’il se proposerait d’organiser au Gabon, moyennant un généreux chèque d’Ali Bongo (vous l’aurez deviné). Assurément, l’organisation de forum est devenue la nouvelle forme « propre » par laquelle les dictatures africaines corrompent les media et personnalités politiques francais. C’est ahurissant, rien qu’au Gabon, on a le forum d’Attias, celui de Libération et maintenant celui du Monde va arriver. Il aurait aussi reçu Anne Paugam, la directrice de l'AFD ; Patrick Pouyanné, le patron de Total ; Antoine Frérot, le PDG de Veolia ; et Adam Nossiter, du New York Times.

La Lettre du Continent dresse aussi le tableau de la mission qui a été confiée à Christian Magnagna de s’occuper des contentieux financiers opposant le régime à plusieurs créanciers. Il se saisi de ce dossier précédemment managé par Yves-Fernand Manfoumbi. La première urgence pour Christian Magnagna serait la saisie de l'hôtel particulier Pozzo Di Borgo situé sur la rue de l'Université, qui a été faite suite à une plainte de Guido Santullo, PDG du groupe de BTP Sericom, pour créance non payée de plus de 130 milliards F CFA (200 millions €). L'homme d'affaires italien aurait confié à Me Ana Atallah du cabinet Reed Smith le dossier du recouvrement de cette créance de 130 milliards F CFA. C’est cette avocate qui a fait saisir c’est l'hôtel particulier d’une SCI dont le gérant n'est autre que Maixent Accrombessi.

La Lettre du Continent nous informe de la reconversion de l’ancien premier ministre français Dominique de Villepin, en avocat d'affaires. Il aurait créé un cabinet appelé « Villepin international », et c’est dans ce cadre qu’il participerait au forum citoyen organisé par le quotidien français Libération à Libreville (moyennant certainement un chèque de motivation).

Justement, parlant de ce forum citoyen, La Lettre du Continent nous dit que malgré l'hostilité d'une partie de sa rédaction, la direction de Libération a tenu à organiser son forum citoyen à Libreville au Gabon. Ce forum est une opération financière de Libération pour contrecarrer les pertes subies en France ; et il a été voulu par Pierre Fraidenraich, le directeur des opérations, et Laurent Joffrin, le directeur de publication. C’est pour tenter d’amortir les critiques face au choix d'un pays comme le Gabon dont l'image est plutôt négative, que Libération a tenu à inviter la participation de Transparency international et Reporter Sans Frontière. La moitié du budget de fonctionnement de ce forum est soit disant supportée par le régime, le reste est supposé soutenu par des partenaires privés. Nous connaissons la musique ; ces fameux privés ne sont autres que les Bongos, ce qui signifie que c’est le contribuable gabonais qui paiera l’addition à 100%. Ali Bongo veut utiliser ce forum pour démontrer que les organismes qui l’accusaient dans l’affaire des Biens Mal Acquis sont désormais ses « amis » !
