National Union, here we go!

When they were being chastised to stay in the offices of their headquarters in the former SOBRAGA, the confidence shown by the leaders of this opposition party was surprising. The answer was even ironic: "it is in offices that people think. It is within such a framework that serious things are conceived", stated with a smirk, Paul Marie Gondjout, one of the Deputy executive Secretaries.

This time, this is it! The Union Nationale has gone into high gear and has decided to deploy its roadmap. First element, there is this mobilizing slogan that will probably frame all actions to be taken: "not a step without the Union Nationale." It is, they say, the last directive of the Executive Secretary, André Mba Obame, just days before his death.

After the official launch of the party's activities throughout the national territory by the President Zacharie Myboto, on 17 October 2015 at Cocotiers neighborhood, the party can deploy its troops. Last weekend was particularly busy for the leaders of the Union Nationale. It all started on Friday. It is under the responsibility of the vice president, Ms. Estelle Ondo, that the installation ceremony of the coordinations of Ondogo Montalier, La Mairie and Milong Si neighborhoods took place. Opportunity for the Deputy Executive Secretary, Mr. Francois Ondo Edou to call the new leaders to go to work. "Our goal, he said, is for change, and on that, there is no ambiguity, Ali Bongo with the Bongo-PDG clan must go. Come rain, wind or snow, it's only a matter of time. His fate is sealed; we just need to conceive a rational and efficient organization that takes into account the disappointments of the past. The long experience of the opposition that we have and that is making a difference, is asking us to think, to plan our field work, to sharpen our strategies, building on a strong and credible political party. This reflection is done within our party, in offices, during forums, through multiform exchanges.

These reflections have an extension on the ground, that's what we are doing today. Naturally, when one has no party, no experience of managing a political party, they may be offended by this. The Union Nationale that has regained its legality after 4 years of an unjust and unconstitutional dissolution, knows how important it is to have a strong and structured party. This is, in the current phase of the fight, to extend our tentacles, so that there is not a single step without the Union Nationale. We do it at the pace that the roadmap requires from us, by not confusing speed with haste."

Upon observation, we can see another element of the roadmap, namely the strong involvement of party officials. It could be seen that the vice presidents present in Libreville are closely associated with the action of the party, which gives lie to those who make a witch trials of the party by saying that the Union Nationale relies only on the president and his close associates.

Union Nationale, c’est parti !

Quand on leur faisait le reproche de se calfeutrer dans les bureaux de leur siège à l'ancien Sobraga, l'assurance qu'affichaient les responsables de ce parti de l'opposition étonnait. La réponse était même empreinte d'ironie: "c'est dans les bureaux que l'on s'adonne à la réflexion. C'est dans un tel cadre que l'on conçoit des choses sérieuses" affirmait, sourire en coin, Paul Marie Gondjout, l'un des secrétaires exécutifs adjoints.

Cette fois, ça y est ! L'Union Nationale est passée à la vitesse supérieure et a décidé de déployer sa feuille de route. Premier élément, il y a ce slogan mobilisateur qui servira sans doute de trame à toutes les actions à mener: "pas un pas sans l'Union Nationale". C'est, dit-on, la toute dernière consigne du Secrétaire Exécutif, André Mba Obame, quelques jours seulement avant son décès.

Après le lancement officiel des activités du parti sur l'ensemble du territoire national par le Président Zacharie Myboto, le 17 octobre 2015 au quartier Cocotiers, le parti peut donc déployer ses troupes. Le weekend dernier était particulièrement chargé pour les responsables de l'Union Nationale. Tout a commencé vendredi. C'est sous la responsabilité de la vice-présidente, Mme Estelle Ondo que s'est déroulée la cérémonie d'installation des coordinations des quartiers Ondogo, Montalier, La Mairie et Milong Si. Occasion pour le Secrétaire Exécutif Adjoint, M. François Ondo Edou d'appeler les nouveaux responsables à se mettre résolument au travail. "Notre objectif, a-t-il dit, c'est l'alternance, et là-dessus, il n'y pas d'équivoque, Ali Bongo doit partir avec le clan PDG-Bongo. Qu'il pleuve, vente ou qu'il neige, ce n'est plus qu'une question de temps. Son sort est scellé, il nous faut simplement concevoir une organisation rationnelle et efficience qui tienne compte des aléas du passé. La longue expérience de l'opposition que nous avons et qui fait la différence, commande que nous réfléchissions, que nous planifiions nos actions de terrain, que nous affinions nos stratégies, en nous appuyant sur un parti politique fort et crédible. Cette réflexion se fait au sein de notre parti, dans des bureaux, au cours des forums, au travers d'échanges multiformes.

Ces réflexions ont un prolongement sur le terrain, c'est ce que nous faisons aujourd'hui. Naturellement, quand on n'a aucun parti , aucune expérience de gestion d'un parti politique, on peut s'en offusquer. L'Union Nationale qui a retrouvé sa capacité juridique après 4 longues années d'une dissolution inique et anticonstitutionnelle, sait combien il est important d'avoir un parti fort et structuré. Il s'agit, dans la phase actuelle du combat, d'étendre nos tentacules, afin qu'il n'y ait plus un seul pas sans l'Union Nationale. Nous le faisons au rythme que la feuille de route nous impose, en évitant de confondre vitesse et précipitation. "

A l'observation, on peut noter un autre élément de cette feuille de route, à savoir la forte implication des cadres du parti. On a pu constater que les vice-présidents présents à Libreville sont étroitement associés à l'action du parti, ce qui apporte un démenti cinglant à ceux qui font un procès en sorcellerie au parti qui disent que l'Union Nationale ne s'appuie que sur le président et ses proches collaborateurs.

Sur le terrain des équipes placées sous la supervision des vice-présidents se sont déployées le même jour et à la même heure, la technique de l'étouffement, dit-on à l'Union Nationale.

Paulette Missambo à Plein Niger où elle a installé des coordinations de quartiers, avant de donner le coup d'envoi d'une opération porte à porte qui s'étendra jusqu'aux futures élections; Raphaël Bandega Lendoye à Sotega pour une rencontre citoyenne qui a connu un grand succès; Jean Pierre Rougou à Venez voir pour une réunion qui a pris des allures d'un meeting et Estelle Ondo dans le 6e arrondissement de Libreville.

Elle n'aura d'ailleurs aucun répit puisqu'elle s'envole le 27 octobre prochain pour Oyem où sont prévues des rencontres citoyennes. Le programme prévoit aussi un grand meeting à Oyem samedi prochain, avec la participation des plus hauts responsables du parti. Un rendez-vous à ne pas manquer
