IN GABON, THE LOST OF CONFIDENCE IS BEYOND THE STAGE OF DEBATE: WE MUST NOW BE GIVEN AN EXPLANATION FOR ALL THESE LIES! AU GABON, LE MANQUE DE CONFIANCE A DÉPASSÉ LE STADE DU DÉBAT : IL FAUT DÉSORMAIS QU’ON NOUS EXPLIQUE TOUS CES MENSONGES !

In an interview with the excellent Gabonreview, Chantal Uwimana, the Africa Director of Transparency International, presented the Liberation citizen forum, to which her organization was invited, as participating in the need to create a climate of debate between rulers and ruled which in turn helps in catalyzing the democratic progress in Gabon and in Africa in general.

If this blog is in agreement on the principle stated, we just remind Mrs Uwimana that in the case of Gabon, the lack of confidence of the governed toward the governing is largely beyond the stage of dialogue. The proof came during the funeral of André Mba Obame, when the people did consistently refuse any interference of the regime in the ceremonies. This blog would suggest to Ms Uwimana to take stock of the lies that have been told to the Gabonese people about Ali Bongo parentage and to tell us how any dialogue could bring the governed to trust such a character whose life information is a total fiction?

The Gabonese people do not refuse the debate. But before such lies, we are entitled to demand explanations and to refuse to have a debate on secondary issues while the fundamentals remain unexplored!

Dans une interview accordée à l’excellent Gabonreview, Chantal Uwimana, la directrice Afrique de Transparency Internationale, a présenté le forum citoyen de Libération, auquel son organisation a été convié, comme participant à la nécessité de créer un climat de débat entre gouvernants et gouvernés, qui aiderait à catalyser le progrès démocratique au Gabon et en Afrique en général.

Si ce blog est d’accord sur le principe énoncé, nous venons rappeler à Madame Uwimana que dans le cas du Gabon, le manque de confiance des gouvernés envers les gouvernants a largement dépassé le stade du dialogue. La preuve en a été faite lors des obsèques d’André Mba Obame, quand le peuple a systématiquement refusé toute immixtion du régime dans les cérémonies. Ce blog voudrait suggérer à Madame Uwimana de faire l’inventaire des mensonges qui ont été racontés aux Gabonais au sujet de la filiation d’Ali Bongo et de nous dire comment un quelconque dialogue pourrait amener les gouvernés à faire confiance à un tel personnage dont l’état civil est une véritable fiction ?

Les Gabonais ne refusent pas le débat. Mais devant tant de mensonges, nous sommes en droit d’exiger des explications et de refuser d’avoir un débat sur des sujets secondaires alors que les fondamentaux restent inexplorés!
