RELIGION IS BOTH A PALIATIVE AND A SEDATIVE! LA RELIGION EST A LA FOIS UN PALLIATIF ET UN SÉDATIF !

In medicine, a palliative is something that relieves symptoms without dealing with the root cause of the condition; and a sedative is a tranquilizer that only numbs the discomfort and the pain, but threat nothing. Dear reader, religion serves both purposes.

 

It is clear that in Gabon, the rise of religions of all kinds is encouraged and even financed by the regime in power. Religion serves as a screen for the regime, because Ali Bongo who cannot give the Gabonese people good schools, good roads, good hospitals; hastens to shower them with pastors who come to put them to sleep.

 

Caution, this blog is not ridiculing religious believers. This blog is not acerbic against religion. This blog is not saying that religion is a childish fantasy or a retreat from rationality by stupid people. This blog only remarks that religion should be in the private domain and not be a tool that the State would use to control the population. That’s all!

 

In Gabon, the Bongos use religion simply as an opiate for the people. They use it to stimulate the numbing of peoples’ problems and pains. They use it as a sedative and a painkiller. In Gabon, religious practices and rituals perform a real anesthetizing function on the people. But religion does not eliminate the real, material, structural causes of the misery and despair of the Gabonese people.

 

Ultimately what the Bongos are telling the Gabonese people is that while they have no reliable electricity or water, why their education system is crumbling, while their hospitals are no good, while they have no jobs to speak of, the most important thing is that God loves them!

En médecine, un palliatif est quelque chose qui soulage les symptômes sans traiter la cause profonde de la maladie; et un sédatif est un tranquillisant qui ne fait que masquer l'inconfort et la douleur, mais ne soigne rien. Cher lecteur, la religion sert les deux objectifs.

 

Il est clair qu’au Gabon, la montée des religions en tous genres et encouragée et même financée par le régime au pouvoir. La religion sert de paravent au régime, car Ali Bongo qui ne peut offrir aux Gabonais de bonnes écoles, des bonnes routes, de bons hôpitaux ; s’empresse de les abreuver en pasteurs qui viennent les endormir.

 

Attention, ce blog ne ridiculise pas les croyants religieux. Ce blog n'est pas acerbe contre la religion. Ce blog ne dit pas que la religion est un fantasme enfantin ou un retrait de la rationalité par des gens stupides. Ce blog fait seulement remarquer que la religion devrait rester dans le domaine privé et ne pas être un outil que l'État utiliserait pour contrôler la population. C’est tout !

 

Au Gabon, les Bongos utilisent la religion simplement comme un opiacé pour le peuple. Ils l'utilisent pour stimuler l'assouplissement des problèmes et des douleurs des gens. Ils l'utilisent comme sédatif et analgésique. Au Gabon, les pratiques et rituels religieux exercent une véritable fonction anesthésiante sur la population. Mais la religion n'élimine pas les causes réelles, matérielles et structurelles de la misère et du désespoir du peuple Gabonais.

 

En fin de compte, ce que les Bongo disent au peuple gabonais, c'est que même s'ils n'ont ni fiabilité dans la fourniture d’électricité et d’eau, même si leur système éducatif s'effondre, même si leurs hôpitaux ne sont pas bons, et qu’ils n'ont pas d’emploi à proprement parler, le plus important est que Dieu les aime !
