Dear readers, we just learned that the President of the Mutual of the students of the University of Libreville, Nicolas Ondo Obame, has been arrested, along with its Secretary General, Duphy Minto'o Ella at the Libreville’s Court House; as they tried to provide support to students imprisoned now for 5 months without trial, which obviously is perceived in the Bongo’s Gabon as a crime requiring immediate incarceration. As you can see, regarding cracking down on individual freedoms, the powers of the Prosecutor of Libreville remain intact.

Chers lecteurs, nous apprenons à l’instant que le Président de la Mutuelle des étudiants de l’Université de Libreville, Nicolas Ondo Obame, vient d’être arrêté, en compagnie de son Secrétaire General, Duphy Minto'o Ella, au Palais de Justice de Libreville; ils tentaient d’apporter leur soutien aux étudiants incarcérés depuis 5 mois sans jugement; ce qui manifestement est perçu dans le Gabon des Bongo comme un crime requérant l’incarcération immédiate.
