Yesterday we complained about the most vague status surrounding Sylvia Bongo's charitable actions, to the point that her foundation had been declared of public utility; therefore it was likely to receive public funds.

 

Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema, the liberator, has arrived, with his wives. Hold on tight, the charities of his two wives have also just been classified as public utility. Hello State subsidies.

 

Dear readers, what has changed?

 

The Gabonese constitution does not confer any special status to the wives of heads of state. Endowing these ladies with public funds, through often bogus foundations, is only a form of embezzlement of public funds.

 

Indeed, these foundations will allow Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema to buy the votes of the Gabonese people by sending his wives to distribute trinkets to the impoverished population. It is a very unhealthy system that we thought would no longer exist under the CTRI; but no, on this point, Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema has decided to double the stakes.

Hier nous nous plaignions du statut le plus le flou qui entourait les actions caritatives de Sylvia Bongo, au point que sa fondation avait été déclarée d’utilité publique ; donc elle était susceptible de recevoir des fonds publics.

 

Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema, le libérateur, est arrivé, avec ses épouses. Tenez vous bien, les organisations caritatives de ses deux épouses viennent aussi d’être classées d’utilité public. Bonjour les subventions de l’Etat.

 

Chers lecteurs, qu’est ce qui a changé ?

 

La constitution gabonaise ne confère aucun statut particulier aux épouses de chef d’Etat. Doter ces dames de fonds publics, par le truchement de fondations souvent bidons, n’est qu’une forme de détournement de fonds publics.

 

En effet, ces fondations permettront à Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema d’acheter les voix des Gabonais en envoyant ses épouses distribuer des babioles à la population paupérisée. C’est un système très malsain que nous croyions ne plus exister sous le CTRI ; mais non, sur ce point Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema a décidé de doubler la mise.

 

Le Gabon n’est vraiment pas sorti de l’auberge !
