Dear readers, by email exchange, one of our contacts in the French journalistic community, often very well informed about Gabon, has revealed to us that Ali Bongo has serious concerns about the final report of EU observers.

What worries Ali Bongo, is that his lobbies in France are being ineffective in influencing the content of this report which is written in Brussels, away from françafrique shenanigans. The other problem is that most of the artisans of this report are from European nations that have very little historical ties with Gabon; therefore they would be difficult to influence compared to French people. One cannot imagine Germans or Scandinavians agree to change the content of their report because Bernard Kouchner or Laurent Fabius asked them to do so in the name of the old françafrique.

Moreover, with the arrival of Ping in Paris, it reckons that the report would be received by Ping himself, who would immediately start a media blitz on French and African TV channels, which will put Ali Bongo in a very uncomfortable position, unable to respond since confined to his bunker in Libreville because he is afraid to leave the country.

Ping will have the initiative of the debate and of morality, since he will conduct himself as the legitimate President, Ali Bongo would appear not only as a fraudster, a dictator, a murderer; but also as a lamentable head of State who is incapable to pay civil servants and to proceed to the opening of the school year.

Ali Bongo, you see dear readers, is really in big trouble.

Chers lecteurs, par échange email, un de nos contacts dans le milieu journalistique français, souvent très bien informé sur le Gabon, vient de nous révéler qu’Ali Bongo aurait de sérieux soucis à propos du rapport final des observateurs de l’UE.

Ce qui inquiète Ali Bongo, est que ses lobbies en France se montrent inopérants à influencer le contenu de ce rapport qui est rédigé à Bruxelles, loin des complaisances françafricaines. L’autre problème est que la plupart des artisans de ce rapport sont de nationalités Européennes n’ayant que très peu d’attaches historiques avec le Gabon ; donc difficilement influençables comme le seraient des Français. On imagine mal des Allemands ou des Scandinaves accepter de modifier le contenu de leur rapport parce que Bernard Kouchner ou Laurent Fabius le leur aurait demandé au nom de la bonne vieille françafrique.

Le bouquet, c’est qu’avec l’arrivée de Ping à Paris, il se suppute que le rapport sera reçu par Ping lui-même, qui enchainera immédiatement par un blitz médiatique sur les chaines de télévision françaises et africaines, qui mettra Ali Bongo dans une position très inconfortable, ne pouvant réagir que depuis son bunker à Libreville car ayant peur de sortir du pays.

Ping aura donc l’initiative du débat et de la morale, car il se présentera en Président légitime, alors qu’Ali Bongo apparaitra non seulement comme un fraudeur, dictateur, assassin ; mais aussi comme un lamentable chef d’Etat incapable de payer les fonctionnaires et de procéder à l’ouverture de la rentrée scolaire.
