According to Africa Energy Intelligence, Gabon Oil Company (GOC) is inheriting a 10% stake in the oil permit of the Dussafu Marin field.

It should be noted that the GOC exists since 2011, but in 7 years its record is scanty if not inexistent. For example, there was a time when GOC took over the role of operator on the Obangue field, but because of its own incompetence, it had to return it to its former owner, Addax Petroleum, and GOC now only manages a minority stake in Touchstone Oil & Gas's Remboué field operated by Canadians.

Therefore, the 10% that GOC is about to inherit on the Dussafu Marin field, does not invite optimism.

D’après Africa Energy Intelligence, La Gabon Oil Company (GOC) hériterait de 10% de participation sur le permis pétrolier du champ Dussafu Marin.

Il est à signaler que la GOC existe depuis 2011, mais en 7 ans, son bilan est maigre pour ne pas dire inexistant. Par exemple, il fut un temps où la GOC s’était saisie du rôle d'opérateur sur le permis d'Obangue, mais à cause de sa propre incompétence, elle a dû le rendre à son ancien propriétaire, Addax Petroleum, et la GOC ne gère plus qu'une participation minoritaire sur le champ Remboué opéré par les Canadiens de Touchstone Oil & Gas.

Par conséquent, les 10% dont s'apprête à hériter la GOC sur le champ Dussafu Marin, n’invite pas à l’optimisme.
