In 2008, Pascaline Bongo offered herself the Télésud channel in France, a year before the creation of Africa-24, with the ambition of making it the flagship of African audiovisual; a kind of Africa Number 1 television version.

 

This chain has never really convinced anyone and after a decade of up and down activities, it closed down in 2019, after being found by the Commercial Court of Paris as being in default of payment. It should be noted that the channel was continuously bailed out by the Gabonese Public Treasury, illegally because it has never been included among the State assets.

 

According to some indiscretions, since 2008, the Gabonese Public Treasury paid the Telesud channel, 375,000 euros per month, or about 246 million CFA francs. The justification for these payments was disguised as obeying a contract between this channel and the Gabonese State for services consisting in promoting Gabon on the air.

 

Until August 2022, the Gabonese State still owed 650,000 euros (426 million CFA francs) to Telesud. The new owner of Telesud, Cameroonian businessman Jean-Pierre Amougou Belinga, has just obtained this payment from the Gabonese state. This case was managed by Alain-Claude Bilié Bi Nzé

En 2008, Pascaline Bongo s’offrit la chaine Télésud en France, une année avant la création d’Africa-24, avec pour ambition d’en faire le fleuron de l’audiovisuelle africaine ; une sorte d’Africa Numéro 1 version télévision.

 

Cette chaine n’a jamais réellement convaincu personne et après une décennie d’activités clopin-clopant, elle mit la clé sous le paillasson en 2019, après avoir été constatée par le tribunal de commerce de Paris comme étant en cessation de paiement. Il faut signaler que chaine fut continuellement renflouée par le Trésor Public gabonais, en toute illégalité car elle n’a jamais été inscrite dans le patrimoine de l’Etat.

 

Selon certaines indiscrétions, depuis 2008, le Trésor Public gabonais versait à la chaîne Telesud, 375 000 euros par mois, soit environ 246 millions de francs CFA. La justification de ces paiements était maquillée comme obéissant à un contrat entre cette chaine et l’Etat Gabonais pour des prestations de service consistant à promouvoir le Gabon à l'antenne.

 

Jusqu’en aout 2022, l'Etat gabonais devait encore 650 000 euros (426 millions de francs CFA) à Telesud. Le nouveau propriétaire de Telesud, l’homme d’affaires Camerounais Jean-Pierre Amougou Belinga, vient d’obtenir ce paiement de la part de l’Etat Gabonais. Ce dossier était suivi par Alain-Claude Bilié Bi Nzé
