These days in Gabon, Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema’s brand of populism has seemingly turned the majority of the population into blind sheep who are no longer using common sense to evaluate the military regime in power.

 

We all know that it's essential for citizens to be informed and critical thinkers when evaluating political leaders, because blindly following politicians can lead to misinformed decisions, lack of accountability which leads to corruption and abuse of power and to the inevitable erosion of democracy.

 

Citizens should know their politicians and scrutinize their policies, their records, and past actions. Citizens should never be afraid to challenge politicians and demand clear explanations. It is by being politically active and engaged citizens, that it can insured that the government will work for the benefit of all.

 

This blog supports the initiative taken by Daniel Mengara and his coalition, to challenge the regime in power and speak truth to them.

 

By collectively scrutinizing our politicians, we all can help ensure that they serve the public interest and uphold the principles of democracy and good governance.

Ces derniers temps au Gabon, le populisme de Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema semble avoir transformé la majorité de la population en moutons aveugles qui n'utilisent plus le bon sens pour évaluer le régime militaire au pouvoir.

 

Nous savons tous qu'il est essentiel que les citoyens soient informés et qu'ils fassent preuve d'esprit critique lorsqu'ils évaluent les dirigeants politiques, car suivre aveuglément les politiciens peut conduire à des décisions mal avisées, à un manque de responsabilité qui conduit à la corruption et à l'abus de pouvoir et à l'érosion inévitable de la démocratie.

 

Les citoyens devraient connaître leurs politiciens et examiner leurs décisions, leurs conduites et leurs actions passées. Les citoyens ne devraient jamais avoir peur de défier les politiciens et d'exiger des explications claires. C'est en étant des citoyens politiquement actifs et engagés qu'on peut s'assurer que le gouvernement travaillera dans l'intérêt de tous.
