THE ASSALA GROUP’S OPERATION IN GABON! LES OPÉRATIONS DU GROUPE ASSALA AU GABON !

On October 28, 2019, seven new agreements, including three for new perimeters and four for license renewals, were signed between Jean-Yves Grall, the head of Assala, and the Gabonese Minister of Petroleum Noël Mboumba.

Assala is owned by the American group Carlyle and the Americans are trying to sell Assala to Maurel & Prom or Perenco.

David Roux, the managing director of Assala Gabon, is a former boss of the Gabonese subsidiary of Tullow Oil, and he has strong ties with the Bongos. He is married to a Gabonese and is very close to the former Ali Bongo’s chief of staff, Martin Boguikouma who would have facilitated the obtaining by Assala and thus Carlyle, of Shell Gabon’s assets for 587 million dollars, or 348 billion CFA francs.

Le 28 octobre 2019, sept nouveaux accords dont trois pour de nouveaux périmètres et quatre pour des renouvellements de permis, ont été signés entre Jean-Yves Grall, le patron d’Assala, et le ministre gabonais du pétrole Noël Mboumba.
