The statements made by the French government authorities, Prime Minister Manuel Valls and Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, clearly indicate an urgent desire of the former colonial master to push for the normalization of things in Gabon by asking the Gabonese opposition in general, and Jean Ping in particular, to agree to deal with Ali Bongo.

The French government, through the voice of these two gentlemen, initially asked the Gabonese to go to dialogue with Ali Bongo. But the niet of the opposition outside the 0%, was categorical, thus nipping in the bud this absurd idea of having to negotiate with a murderer and usurper.

Since then, the same representatives of the French government are asking the Gabonese opposition to go to the legislative elections. Again, the free Gabonese and representative of the popular will, should reject this offer of power sharing, for that is what it is, because going to the legislative elections of Ali Bongo, is an indirect way of recognizing him as a legitimate president and accepting him as an interlocutor. More seriously, it is accepting the authority of the Gabonese electoral institutions that we are challenging today.

For this blog, the agenda must remain unique: the departure of Ali Bongo and the restitution to the Gabonese people of their sovereignty. Any other goal must be rejected, even if the outcome must take time. Let us stay put on our positions because we are on the right side of history! No compromise with the murderers and torturers of the Republic.

Les déclarations des autorités gouvernementales françaises que sont le Premier Ministre Manuel Valls, et le Ministre des Affaires Etrangères Jean-Marc Ayrault, laissent clairement entrevoir un désir pressant de l’ancienne tutelle coloniale de pousser à la normalisation des choses au Gabon, en forçant l’opposition Gabonaise en général, et Jean Ping en particulier, à accepter de composer avec Ali Bongo.

Le gouvernement Français, par la voix de ces deux messieurs, a d’abord demandé aux Gabonais d’aller au dialogue avec Ali Bongo. Mais le niet de l’opposition en dehors des 0%, a été catégorique, tuant ainsi dans l’œuf, cette idée saugrenue de devoir négocier avec un meurtrier et usurpateur.

Depuis, les mêmes représentants du gouvernement français demandent à l’opposition gabonaise d’aller au législatives. Encore une fois, les gabonais libres et représentatifs de la volonté populaire, devraient rejeter cette offre de partage de pouvoir, car c’est bien de cela qu’il s’agit, parce qu’aller aux législatives d’Ali Bongo, c’est une manière indirecte de le reconnaitre comme président légitime et de l’accepter comme interlocuteur. Plus grave, c’est accepter l’autorité des institutions électorales gabonaises que nous contestons aujourd’hui.

Pour ce blog, l’ordre du jour doit rester unique : le départ d’Ali Bongo et la restitution aux Gabonais de leur souveraineté. Tout autre objectif doit être rejeté, même si le dénouement doit prendre du temps. Campons sur nos positions car nous sommes du bon côté de l’histoire ! Pas de compromis avec les meurtriers et tortionnaires de la République.
