The final report of the Observer Mission of the European Union on the presidential election of 27 August 2016 in Gabon, was to be delivered to the Gabonese authorities on 24 November 2016. But the regime Ali Bongo said that it was not ready to receive this report in Libreville, asking the Mission of the Europen Union to wait until the Gabonese regime is ready to receive the document.

It is clear that the regime Ali Bongo, knowing that this report is unfavorable to them, wants to use time by delaying the deadline as much as possible. Why? To simply hope to have this report published during the demobilization period of the second half of December and the first week of January. The Ali Bongo regime believes that by getting the report published during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, its impact would be lessened.

But this regime is wrong, because the Gabonese will be on the lookout and will not give up on anything, year-end parties or no parties, holidays or not holidays, because we want that 2016 not be 2009.

Le rapport final de la Mission d’Observation de l’Union Européenne, sur l’élection présidentielle du 27 Aout 2016 au Gabon, devait être livré aux autorités Gabonaises, le 24 Novembre 2016. Mais le régime Ali Bongo a dit ne pas être prêt à recevoir ce rapport à Libreville, obligeant donc la Mission de l’Union Européenne à attendre que le régime Gabonais soit disposé à recevoir le document.

Il est clair que le régime Ali Bongo, sachant que ce rapport lui soit défavorable, veuille gagner du temps en retardant l’échéance le plus possible. Pour quelle raison ? Pour tout simplement espérer faire publier ce rapport pendant la période de démobilisation administrative qu’est la deuxième moitié du mois de décembre et la première semaine du mois de janvier. Le régime Ali Bongo pense qu’en obtenant que le rapport soit publié pendant la période des fêtes de Noël et de nouvel an, son impact sera amoindrie.

Mais ce régime se trompe, car les Gabonais seront à l’affût et ne lâcheront rien, fêtes ou pas fêtes, vacances ou pas vacances, car nous tenons à ce que 2016 ne soit pas 2009.
