Elections are useless, if the fundamental basis of politics as practiced in the society in which they take place, is not democracy.

Dear readers, as political scientists say, democracy is fundamentally the distribution of power to the greatest number of citizens through representative instruments that allow people to self-govern. In a democracy, there is a dispersion of power from the center of governance to the popular periphery. In such a system, nothing is done without the approval of the people who are sovereign; and no one can fire on this population on the grounds that they would not have voted in the right way.

The same political scientists tell us that dictatorship, therefore tyranny, is the concentration of power in the hands of a closed group that keeps the greatest number of people in servitude. In such a system, power is withdrawn from the peripheral people to be concentrated towards the center of governance. In such a system, when the tyrant is not happy, they can shoot the population since they know that they are safe from reprisals, because they control all the wheels of the state.

Dear readers, ask those who want to go to the legislative elections to tell you if Gabon is a dictatorship or a democracy and how they intend to succeed against Ali Bongo. No beating around the bush.

Les élections ne servent à rien, si la base fondamentale de la politique pratiquée dans la société dans laquelle elles ont lieu, n’est pas la démocratie.

Chers lecteurs, comme le disent les politologues, la démocratie c’est fondamentalement la distribution du pouvoir au plus grand nombre de citoyens par le truchement d’instruments représentatifs permettant à la population de s’autogouverner. En démocratie, il y a dispersion du pouvoir du centre de gouvernance, vers la périphérie populaire. Dans un tel système, rien ne se fait sans l’aval de la population qui est souveraine ; et personne ne peu tirer sur cette population sous prétexte qu’elle n’aurait pas voté dans le bon sens.

Les mêmes politologues nous disent que la dictature, donc la tyrannie, c’est la concentration du pouvoir entre les mains d’un groupe fermé qui maintient le plus grand nombre dans la servitude. Dans un tel système, le pouvoir est retiré au peuple périphérique pour être concentré vers le centre de gouvernance. Dans un tel système, quand le tyran n’est pas content, il peu faire tirer sur la population en se sachant a l’abri de toutes représailles, car il contrôle tous les rouages de l’Etat.

Chers lecteurs, demandez a ceux qui veulent aller aux législatives de vous dire si le Gabon est une dictature ou une démocratie et comment ils entendent avoir gain de cause contre Ali Bongo. Pas de langue de bois !
