The Société Nationale des Bois du Gabon
(SNBG) is the oldest timber company in Gabon. Until 2017, the Gabonese State
was the majority shareholder with 80% of the shares. This means that the SNBG
building located in center city, belonged to the Gabonese State.
Subsequently, the Gabonese State opened SNBG
to foreign capital, while keeping a majority shareholder of 51%. But the SNBG
building still remained an asset of the Gabonese State.
SEEG is a company also 51% owned by the
Gabonese State. We are told that the SEEG has bought a building from SNBG for
the amount of 8.2 billion CFA francs.
What are the terms of sale of a building
belonging to a State-owned company to another State-owned company? The money
disbursed by SEEG was cashed by whom? in which bank account and where is the
traceability?

La Société Nationale des
Bois du Gabon (SNBG) est la plus ancienne société de la filière bois au Gabon. Jusqu’en 2017, l’Etat Gabonais
en était actionnaire majoritaire à hauteur de 80%. Ce qui veux dire que l’immeuble
SNBG situé au centre ville, appartenait bel et bien à l’Etat Gabonais.
Par la suite, L’Etat
Gabonais a ouvert le capital de la SNBG aux capitaux étrangers, tout en gardant
une majorité actionnariale de 51%. Mais l’immeuble de la SNBG demeurait
toujours dans le patrimoine de l’Etat Gabonais.
La SEEG est une
entreprise détenue à 51% aussi par l’Etat Gabonais. On nous annonce que la SEEG
a racheté à la SNBG un immeuble pour le montant de 8,2 milliards de francs CFA.
