We learn from the press that the Gabonese State has just disbursed funds to the French company Sofema for the acquisition of new military armored vehicles.

 

These are AML90 type reconnaissance armored vehicles, and they will be delivered before the end of 2022.

 

The order is for the acquisition of four new generation Panhard AML90 armored reconnaissance vehicles. They will be delivered with their ammunition and should equip the Republican Guard which already has about twenty units of AML60 and 90 types combined.

 

The contract was signed at the end of 2020 between Guillaume Giscard d'Estaing, CEO of Sofema and nephew of Valery Giscard d'Estaing, and the Gabonese Ministry of Defense.

Nous apprenons par voie de presse que l’Etat gabonais vient de décaisser des fonds à la société française Sofema, pour l’acquisition de nouveaux blindés militaire.

 

Ce sont des blindés de reconnaissance de type AML90 et ils seront livrés avant la fin 2022.

 

La commande est pour l’acquisition de quatre véhicules blindés de reconnaissance Panhard AML90 de nouvelle génération. Ils seront livrés avec leurs munitions, et devraient équiper la Garde républicaine qui dispose déjà d’une vingtaine d'unités de types AML60 et 90 confondus.

 

Le contrat avait été signé en fin 2020 entre Guillaume Giscard d'Estaing, PDG de Sofema et neveu de Valery Giscard d'Estaing, et le ministère de la défense gabonais.
