An adage says that empty vessels make the most noise. In Gabon, unfortunately, a lot of people who would have amounted to nothing if the Bongo family was not in power, have become so arrogant that they end up believing that they can treat people like dirt and get away with it. One such person is Cyriaque Mvourandjiami.

 

When we observe the behavior of people like Cyriaque Mvourandjiami, we see that arrogance is only a reflection of the degree of backwardness, lack of education, and stupidity of the character. This man would never understand that humility is a reflection of the degree of generosity, respect, restraint and therefore intelligence.

Smart people have a great ability to listen, because they are constantly learning. The art of listening, of listening deeply enough with concentration and vivacity, active listening that allows one to analyze relevant issues in real time, is a skill that is not within everyone's reach.

 

When you're smart, you know that you should always strive to improve, to keep working tirelessly on traits and behaviors that, in fact, would make you an even better person. It takes work and work often requires being though on yourself.

Au Gabon, malheureusement, beaucoup de gens qui n'auraient rien valu si la famille Bongo n'était pas au pouvoir, sont devenus si arrogants qu'ils finissent par croire qu'ils peuvent traiter les gens comme de la merde et s'en tirer à bon compte. L'une de ces personnes est Cyriaque Mvourandjiami.

 

Quand on observe le comportement de gens comme Cyriaque Mvourandjiami, on s’aperçoit que l’arrogance ne soit que le reflet du degré de bassesse, du manque d’éducation, et de la stupidité du personnage. Cet homme ne comprendrait jamais que l’humilité soit le reflet du degré de générosité, de respect, de retenue et donc d’intelligence.

 

On est arrogant lorsqu'on veut dissimuler son ignorance. Cyriaque Mvourandjiami est un des aboyeurs d’Ali Bongo ; c’est un nervis esclave à la quête du pécule jouant le rôle de vil cerbère d’un régime totalitaire que les Gabonais maudissent.

 

Les gens comme Cyriaque Mvourandjiami se croient importants parce que souvent, face à eux, les gens très intelligents préfèrent rester silencieux. Les gens intelligents ont une grande capacité d'écoute, car ils apprennent continuellement. L'art d'écouter, d'écouter assez profondément avec concentration et vivacité, l'écoute active qui permet d’analyser les questions pertinentes en temps réel, est une compétence qui n’est pas à la portée de tous.

 

Quand on est intelligent, on sait qu’on doive toujours chercher à s'améliorer, de continuer à travailler sans relâche sur des traits et des comportements qui, en fait, feraient de vous une personne encore meilleure. Cela demande du travail et le travail exige souvent d'être dur envers soi-même.
