La Lettre du Continent informs us that the Mauritian group IBL has just filed a complaint in Paris against the notary Alfred Bongo, who is none other than Ali Bongo's half-brother.

IBL is a Mauritian agrobusiness company which, in 2015, joined the Gabonese Strategic Investments Fund (FGIS) for the creation of a seafood company called Tropical Holding, whose shares were divided into 60% held by the Mauritian group and 40% by the FGIS. The company was created by Alfred Bongo, who immediately received on his account at BGFIBank the shares of the two partners IBL and FGIS, i.e. 900 million FCFA of participation for IBL and 600 million FCFA for that of FGIS.

However, these 1.5 billion FCFA have never been provided to Tropical Holding which remains until now, an empty shell. In his complaint to the tribunal de Grande Instance (TGI) of Paris, IBL accuses Alfred Bongo of having diverted these funds for his personal benefit. But already, in October 2018, Alfred Bongo had accused the BGFIBank of having embezzled these funds and announced a law suit which has still not been heard.

La Lettre du Continent nous apprend que le groupe mauricien IBL vient de déposer plainte à Paris contre le notaire Alfred Bongo, qui n’est autre que le demi-frère d’Ali Bongo.

IBL est une société mauricienne d’agroalimentaire qui, en 2015 s'associa au Fonds gabonais d'investissements stratégiques (FGIS) pour la création d’une société de produits de la mer appelée Tropical Holding, dont les parts furent divisées en 60% détenue par le groupe mauricien et à 40% par le FGIS. La société fut créée par Alfred Bongo, qui reçut aussitôt sur son compte à la BGFIBank les parts des deux associés IBL et FGIS, soit 900 millions FCFA de participation pour IBL et 600 millions FCFA pour celle du FGIS.

Mais seulement, ces 1,5 milliard FCFA n'ont jamais été reversés à Tropical Holding qui reste jusqu’aujourd’hui, une coquille vide. Dans sa plainte au tribunal de grande instance (TGI) de Paris, IBL accuse Alfred Bongo d’avoir détourné ces fonds à son profit personnel. Mais déjà, en octobre 2018, Alfred Bongo avait lui, accusé la BGFIBank d'avoir détourné ces fonds et annoncé un dépôt de plainte qui n'a toujours pas été instruite.
