Leadership is a concept that refers to people with diverse authorities in society. A Minister of the Republic is a person with a certain amount of authority and the responsibilities that come with it. A minister must have leadership skills (be able to lead men and women, and persuasion skills) and sector management skills (knowledge of the sector's issues and mechanisms).

 

The show "Les Grands Dossiers" on November 26, 2023 on Gabon Television, was the second of its kind. It concerned the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. It was a follow-up to the first one about the public service. This blog introduces the principle of grading ministers according to their performance during this program. For us, the first two shows yielded the following results:

Ludovic MEGNE NDONG	Minister of Housing and Urban Development	8/20	Serious and deliberate performance, but too much approximation and hesitation. The Gabonese people were left wanting more. The answers to the questions were not convincing. Too many promises that he will have a hard time keeping, such as that of his so-called software that will magically speed up the obtaining of land titles. The Gabonese people are waiting for him and will remind him of it.

Le leadership est un concept fait référence à des gens ayant dans la société, des autorités diverses. Un ministre de la République est un personnage doté d’une certaine autorité et assumant les responsabilités qui l’accompagnent. Un ministre doit présenter des aptitudes de leadership (de meneur d’hommes et de femmes, et de persuasion), et des aptitudes de gestion du secteur (la connaissance des dossier et mécanismes du secteur).

 

L’émission « Les Grands Dossiers » du 26 novembre 2023 sur Gabon Télévision, était la deuxième du genre. Elle portait sur le ministère de l’Habitat et de l’Urbanisme. Elle faisait suite à la première au sujet de la fonction publique. Ce blog introduit ici le principe de notation des ministres en fonction de leur performance lors de cette émission. Pour nous les deux premières émissions ont donné les résultats suivants :

Les réponses aux questions n'étaient pas convaincantes. Trop de promesses qu’il aura du mal à tenir, telle que celle de son fameux logiciel qui va par magie accélérer l’obtention des titres fonciers. Les Gabonais l’attendent et le lui rappelleront.
