In a recent statement, Marc Ona Essangui, a leading figure of the free Gabonese civil society, invites all of the civil society, that is to say: union leaders, NGO leaders, the engaged artists, the student leaders, heads of religious denominations; In short, all those who are concerned and interested in joining the refusal of the Françafrique imposture that Richard Attias and his wife are; to an important meeting scheduled on Saturday, May 3 from 10 am at Brainforest headquarters in Libreville.

The French periodical " La Lettre du Continent " in its latest edition , echoes these preparations by the free Gabonese civil society , writing that:

“As he prepares to pilot the third edition of the New York Forum Africa ( NYFA ) in Libreville from 23 to 25 May , the communicator Richard Attias should once again be faced with the wrath of associations and civil society figures in Gabon , including the tireless Marc Ona Essangui , Goldman Prize 2009. Manifestations and other protest are scheduled throughout this forum. These opponents want to be even more determined this year because they wish through their mobilization , to pay tribute to Gregory Ngbwa Mintsa . The latter, the Transparency International’s “Integrity Award " winner and spokesman of the Gabonese Indignants Front, died on April 10 in Libreville. He never ceased to criticize the media rout created by the boss of Richard Attias & Associates, since its first edition in 2012. "

"Nobody will make Gabon in our place," liked to repeat Gregory Ngbwa Mintsa. This mobilization of the Gabonese free civil society in order to have a "warm" welcome to filibusters such as Richard Attias, is part of this maxim. Indeed, the Gabonese people cannot continue to tolerate that adventurers come to force feed them with their “canned” development formulas which are totally inadequate to the environment and the needs of the Gabonese people; and this at the price of gold.

In the same issue , La Lettre du Continent is editorializing that Jean Ping is firing on all cylinders and is growing rapidly to position himself as an alternative to Ali Bongo in 2016. We also learn that Andre Mba Obame , who remains hospitalized in Tunisia, would support Jean Ping, which would explain the discussions between Jean Ping, Jacques Adiahenot and the Executive of the political party for which André Mba Obame is the Executive Secretary , the Union Nationale . For La Lettre du Continent , Jean Ping strategy is to mobilize the entire opposition against the direction toward which Ali Bongo is taking Gabon, a strategy that has the French periodical saying that it " haunts " the palace of the seafront of Libreville; especially as this strategy raises the concerns of the françafricain Robert Bourgi who is openly telling Ali Bongo that he would sink to the bottom. If the support of André Mba Obame became official, La Lettre du Continent argues that Jean Ping would become the unchallenged leader of the coalition of the opposition.

The same publication describes the recent meeting between Ali Bongo and the French business group in Paris; meeting during which Ali Bongo reportedly asked French business to invest aggressively in Gabon. La Lettre du Continent says that Ali Bongo had complained about the reluctance of French industrialists to invest in Gabon. Ali Bongo had spoken to them in a françafricain language, that is to say made of statements such as : " I express my confidence and commitment to the relationship between Paris and Libreville ; I see unfortunately that our traditional partners from whom we would have expected more , are dragging their feet. Is it simple prudence? Is it risk aversion? Or rather disinterest? “Dear readers, it seems that the French bosses are insensitive to the famous emergence of Ali Bongo. Generally it is the investors jostling for market share; but when a head of state will has to whine to investors who are not interested in him, it is that carrots have already been primed and will soon be put to cook!

Dans un récent communiqué, Marc Ona Essangui, figure de proue de la société civile libre gabonaise, convie l’ensemble de cette société civile, c'est-à-dire: les leaders syndicaux, les responsables d'ONG, les artistes engagés, les leaders estudiantins, les responsables des confessions religieuses; en somme tous ceux qui se sentent concernés et souhaitent se joindre au refus de l'imposture des françafricains que sont Richard Attias et son épouse ; à une importante réunion prévue le samedi 3 mai à partir de 10h au siège social de Brainforest à Libreville.

Le périodique français « La Lettre du Continent » dans sa dernière édition, fait échos de ces préparatifs de la société civile libre gabonaise, en écrivant ce qui suit :

« Alors qu’il s’apprête à piloter la troisième édition du New York Forum Africa (NYFA) à Libreville du 23 au 25 Mai, le communicant Richard Attias devrait une nouvelle fois être confronté à la fronde des associations et figures de la société civile gabonaise, parmi lesquels l’inoxydable Marc Ona Essangui, Prix Goldman 2009. Manifestations et autres signes de protestation sont prévus tout au long de ce forum. Ces opposants se veulent d’autant plus déterminés cette année qu’ils entendent, à travers leur mobilisation, rendre hommage à Gregory Ngbwa Mintsa. Ce dernier, « Prix de l’Intégrité » de Transparency International et porte-parole du Front des Indignés du Gabon, est décédé le 10 Avril à Libreville. Il n’a eu de cesse de critiquer ce raout médiatique, créé par le patron de Richard Attias & Associates, depuis sa première édition en 2012. »

« Personne ne fera le Gabon à notre place », aimait à répéter Gregory Ngbwa Mintsa. Cette mobilisation de la société civile libre, afin de réserver un accueil « chaleureux » au flibustier qu’est Richard Attias, s’inscrit dans cette maxime. En effet, les Gabonais ne peuvent plus supporter que des aventuriers viennent leur faire avaler des formules de développement « surgelées », totalement inadaptées au cadre et aux besoins des Gabonais ; et ce à prix d’or.

Dans la même livraison, La lettre du continent titre que Jean Ping ferait feu de tout bois et se trouve en progression rapide pour se positionner comme une alternative à Ali Bongo en 2016. Nous apprenons aussi qu’André Mba Obame, toujours hospitalisé en Tunisie, soutiendrait Jean Ping, ce qui expliquerait les discussions de bons offices entre Jean Ping, Jacques Adiahenot et le directoire de la formation politique dont André Mba Obame est le Secrétaire Exécutif, L’Union Nationale. Pour la Lettre du Continent, la stratégie de Jean Ping consiste à mobiliser toute l’opposition contre la direction vers laquelle Ali Bongo entraine le Gabon, une stratégie qui d’après le périodique français, « hante » le palais du bord de mer de Libreville, surtout que cette stratégie suscite l’inquiétude du françafricain Robert Bourgi qui ouvertement dit à Ali Bongo qu’il va couler à pic. Si le support d’André Mba Obame devenait officiel, la Lettre du Continent soutient que Jean Ping deviendrait sans contestation le leader de l’opposition coalisée.

La même publication décrit la récente rencontre entre Ali Bongo et le patronat français, à Paris ; rencontre au cours de laquelle Ali Bongo aurait demandé au patronat français d’investir agressivement au Gabon. La Lettre du Continent affirme qu’Ali Bongo se soit plaint des réticences des industriels français à investir au Gabon. Ali Bongo leur aurait parlé dans un langage françafricain, c'est-à-dire fait de formules du genre : « j’exprime ma confiance et mon attachement aux relations entre Paris et Libreville ; je constate malheureusement que nos partenaires traditionnels de qui nous aurions attendu plus, marquent le pas. Est-ce par simple prudence ? Est-ce par frilosité ? Ou au contraire par désintérêt ? » Chers lecteurs, il semble que les patrons français soient insensibles à la fameuse émergence d’Ali Bongo. Généralement ce sont les investisseurs qui se bousculent pour avoir des parts de marché ; mais quand un chef d’Etat va pleurnicher chez des investisseurs qui ne s’intéressent pas à lui, c’est que les carottes ont déjà été apprêtées et vont bientôt être mises à cuire !
