As of May 16, 2020, South Africa had performed 460,873 coronavirus tests, for 15,515 positive. South Africa has an official population of 58 million. So, per 1,000 people, South Africa has done 8 tests.

On the same date, Gabon had carried out 7,445 tests for 1,320 positive. Gabon has an official population of 2.1 million. Therefore, for 1000 inhabitants Gabon carried out 3.5 tests.

Dear readers, as an example that you can check on the websites mentioned above, Ghana carried out on the same date 6 tests per 1000 inhabitants; and Rwanda carried out 4 tests per 1000 inhabitants.

The world record is held by Italy, which has done 49 tests per 1000 inhabitants by that date.

Gabon is not in the top of the list of countries doing the most testing in Africa and the number of positives in Gabon on a rather limited number of tests, should worry the public with good reason. Indeed, South Africa has a positivity rate compared to the number of tests of 3.4%; while Gabon has a positivity rate compared to the number of tests of 18%.

Statistically, the figures tell us that the infection rate in Gabon is 5 times higher than that of South Africa! How could the regime's press be satisfied with this situation?
