On October 24, 2018, Ali Bongo suffered a stroke in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Since that date, there have been many important official events, in Gabon and abroad, here are a few examples:

 

• Since October 2018, there have been several face-to-face summits of the African Union; Ali Bongo never came to attend.

• Since October 2018, there have been several summits bringing together the heads of state of CEMAC; Ali Bongo never came to attend.

• Since October 2018, there have been several face-to-face investitures of African Heads of State; Ali Bongo never came to attend.

• Since October 2018, there have been several face-to-face funerals, either for Heads of State, or important African personalities; Ali Bongo never came to attend.

• Since October 2018, there have been several face-to-face UN summits in New York; Ali Bongo never came to attend.

• Since October 2018, there have been several face-to-face visits of many African Heads of State to Gabon; Ali Bongo never came to the airport to greet them.

 

But to negotiate Gabon's entry into the Commonwealth, Ali Bongo hobbling, dragged his shell, to go in person to London, suffering the humiliation of not being able to begin the climb over a single stairstep of 10 Downing Street which has two. Le 24 octobre 2018, Ali Bongo faisait un AVC à Riyad en Arabie Saoudite. Depuis cette date, il y a eu de nombreux évènements importants officiels, au Gabon et à l’étranger, en voici quelques exemples :

 

·       Depuis octobre 2018, il y a eu plusieurs sommets en présentiel de l’Union Africaine ; Ali Bongo ne s’est jamais déplacé pour y assister.

·       Depuis octobre 2018, il y a eu plusieurs sommets réunissant en présentiel, les chefs d’Etats de la CEMAC; Ali Bongo ne s’est jamais déplacé pour y assister.

·       Depuis octobre 2018, il y a eu plusieurs investitures en présentiel de plusieurs Chefs d’Etats Africains; Ali Bongo ne s’est jamais déplacé pour y assister.

·       Depuis octobre 2018, il y a eu plusieurs funérailles en présentiel, soit de Chefs d’Etats, ou d’importantes personnalités Africaines ; Ali Bongo ne s’est jamais déplacé pour y assister.

·       Depuis octobre 2018, il y a eu plusieurs sommets en présentiel de l’ONU à New-York ; Ali Bongo ne s’est jamais déplacé pour y assister.

·       Depuis octobre 2018, il y a eu plusieurs visites en présentiel de plusieurs Chefs d’Etats Africains au Gabon; Ali Bongo ne s’est jamais déplacé a l’aéroport pour les accueillir.

 

Mais pour négocier l’entrée du Gabon dans le Commonwealth, Ali Bongo a, clopin-clopant, trainé sa carapace, en présentiel, à Londres, subissant l’humiliation de ne pourvoir amorcer l’escalade d’une seule marche d’escalier de la 10 Downing street qui en compte deux. Chers lecteurs, ceci nous amène à conclure que l’entrée du Gabon dans le Commonwealth soit le projet le plus important pour Ali Bongo ; au-dessus de tout ce qui importe pour le Gabon en ce moment !
