A dictatorship is any authoritarian political regime that is established and maintained through violence and intimidation. It is often an exceptional regime, but it is mainly illegitimate, because it was imposed without the opinion of the population.

 

So, the truth is that the regime that is ruling Gabon right now, that is, the CTRI, is a dictatorship.

 

When we have established this intellectual basis, we can then start with the observation that these Gabonese who tell us that the CTRI should remain in power for 5, 10 or 20 years, are in fact asking for a military dictatorship to be installed in power in Gabon indefinitely, if not permanently, way. Dear readers, this is a very serious wish for us Gabonese.

 

Dear readers, what they want to impose on us is the militarization of the state. That is to say, the reining in of the political and economic class. In fact, Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema and his friends of the CTRI are in the process of imposing rules and values specific to the armed institution in the management of the state: hyper-hierarchization, contempt for political debate, anti-civilism, violent repression against those who would not go along; etc. This is now being imposed on society as a whole, and it is dangerous.

 

Through appointments and co-optations, even in the ranks of the diaspora, the CTRI has muzzled the entire opposition; At the same time, a pernicious propaganda is gradually being put in place. The authoritarian character of the regime can no longer be concealed, despite the initial euphoria that gripped the population after the coup.

 

Speaking of the restauration of institutions, there is a growing impression that the CTRI would simply like to create tailor-made parties, parliaments, institutions, etc., fulfilling specific functions to the wishes of the CTRI, and having nothing in common with the role that these institutions play in normal democracy.

On dit de dictature, tout régime politique autoritaire, qui est établi et maintenu par la violence et l’intimidation. C’est souvent un régime à caractère exceptionnel mais principalement illégitime, car s’étant imposé sans l’avis de la population.

 

La vérité est donc que le régime qui dirige le Gabon en ce moment, c’est-à-dire le CTRI, est une dictature.

 

Quand on a établi cette base intellectuelle, on peut alors embrayer sur le constat que ces Gabonais qui nous disent que le CTRI devrait rester au pouvoir pendant 5, 10 ou 20 ans, sont en fait en train de demander à ce qu’une dictature militaire s’installe au pouvoir au Gabon de manière durable, sinon permanente. Chers lecteurs, c’est un vœu très grave pour nous Gabonais.

 

Chers lecteurs, ce que l’on veut nous imposer, est la militarisation de l’Etat. C’est-à-dire la mise au pas de classe politique et économique. En fait, Brice-Clotaire Oligui-Nguema et ses amis du CTRI sont en train d’imposer des règles et valeurs propres à l'institution armée dans la gestion de l’Etat : hyper hiérarchisation, mépris pour le débat politique, anti-civilisme, violentes repressions contre les empêcheurs de tourner en rond ; etc. Ceci s’impose désormais à la société tout entière, et cela est dangereux.

 

Par les nominations et cooptations, jusque dans les rangs de la diaspora, le CTRI a muselé toute l'opposition ; parallèlement, une pernicieuse propagande se met progressivement en place. Le caractère autoritaire du régime ne peut plus être dissimulé, malgré l’initiale euphorie qui a gagné la population après le coup d’Etat.

 

En parlant de restauration des institutions, on a de plus en plus l’impression que le CTRI voudrait simplement créer sur mesures, des partis, des parlements, des institutions, etc., remplissant des fonctions spécifiques aux desideratas du CTRI, et n’ayant rien de commun avec le rôle que ces institutions jouent en démocratie normale.
