In the French political system, whose format inspires the system in place in Gabon, political cohabitation refers to the coexistence of a President and a Prime Minister, belonging to opposing political parties and parliamentary groups.

To defuse the political and social bomb that continues to hatch in Gabon, and to try to politically legitimize a regime hated by the population, it has been advised to Ali Bongo to throw a bone to the opposition by offering them the Prime Ministry.

To get there, Ali Bongo intends to let this opposition have a slight parliamentary majority, following the upcoming general elections scheduled for mid-2018. This is what was proposed to the Jean Ping camp of by diplomatic intermediaries from the great chancelleries. Go to the legislative elections and you will have the Prime ministry!

However, it's a trap for the opposition; because if a real cohabitation was put in place in Gabon, it is obvious that Ali Bongo would then see his role become much more reduced in favor of a possible Prime Minister from the opposition. It is to avoid this erasure that Ali Bongo has undertaken to modify the constitution before proceeding with this cohabitation.

To continue playing the role of the only master on board in Gabon, Ali Bongo wants to transfer all powers under presidential control and make the Parliament, the Prime Ministry and security forces, objects of political decoration, totally toothless.

Dans le système politique français, dont la forme inspire le système en place au Gabon, la cohabitation politique fait référence à la coexistence entre un Président et un Premier Ministre, appartenant à des partis politiques et groupes parlementaires opposés.

Pour désamorcer la bombe politique et sociale qui continue de couver au Gabon, et pour essayer de légitimer politiquement un régime honni par la population, il a été conseillé a Ali Bongo de jeter un os a l’opposition en lui offrant la primature.

Pour arriver, Ali Bongo compte laisser à cette opposition, une légère majorité parlementaire, suite aux prochaines élections législatives programmées pour la mi-2018. Voici ce qui a été proposé au camp de Jean Ping par des intermédiaires diplomatiques des grandes chancelleries. Allez aux législatives et vous aurez la primature !

Mais seulement, c’est un piège fait à l’opposition; car si une véritable cohabitation se mettait en place au Gabon, il est évident qu’Ali Bongo verrait alors son rôle devenir nettement plus effacé au profit d’un éventuel Premier Ministre issue de l’opposition. C’est pour éviter cet effacement qu’Ali Bongo s’est engagé à modifier la constitution avant de procéder à cette cohabitation.

Pour continuer de jouer le rôle de seul maitre à bord au Gabon, Ali Bongo veut transférer tous les pouvoirs sous le contrôle présidentiel et faire du parlement, de la primature et des forces de sécurités, des objets de décoration politiques, totalement édentés.

Ceux qui vous disent que cette révision constitutionnelle n’a aucun enjeu, vous mentent !
