WHY DOES THE QUEBEC NATIONAL ASSEMBLY FEEL LIKE HOSTING THE DICTATORSHIP? POURQUOI L’ASSEMBLÉE NATIONALE DU QUÉBEC ÉPROUVE-T-ELLE LE BESOIN DE RECEVOIR LA DICTATURE ?

English version

The Quebec National Assembly recently hosted Mr. Sosthène Ngokila, Ali Bongo's ambassador to Canada (see video above).

Dear readers, this event may not represent anything for Quebeckers in particular and Canadians in general, who do not care about the small and insignificant African dictatorships; but for this blog, and for many Gabonese, this kind of reception of representatives of dictatorships, represents the legitimization by Western authorities, here Quebecers, of a dictatorial African regime which, after massive electoral fraud and the massacre of Gabonese, a year ago, seized power and has since never stopped applying a terrible repression on the Gabonese people.

Is the National Assembly of Quebec satisfied with the conditions under which Ali Bongo came to power in Gabon? Some people will tell you that we must not challenge Westerners; this blog says no, because the role of a diaspora is to support its population of origin and do everything to increase its freedom and well-being, wherever it is.

The Gabonese of Quebec must denounce this visit, and in their capacity as residents in Quebec and Canada, i.e. taxpayers in that country, it is up to this diaspora to let the Quebec and Canadian leaders, of whom it pays their salaries, know that the very official reception that was reserved for the representative of Ali Bongo in the democratic hall that is the National Assembly of Quebec, testifies to a will of the Quebec leaders to dissociate themselves from the Gabonese people and the European Union, which so far have another reading of the political situation in Gabon. They must be informed that by receiving the representative of Ali Bongo, the Quebec Assembly has legitimized the illegitimate regime of a man who came to power by killing the Gabonese people.

Dear Gabonese of the diaspora, you can no longer say, "I did not know". It's up to you to play your role by contacting the Quebec Assembly and telling them what you think.

We will not give up!
