Dear
readers, the Bongo regime has just communicated the calendar of the next
senatorial elections. This simply means that we will have to pay attention to
an upsurge of the following phenomena:
1. Ritual
crimes
An
increase by politician in the use of sorcery and witchcraft to help their
chances at winning a senatorial seat. To this end, the killing of innocent
children always plays a very prominent part in these politicians wanting to
provide to their sorcerers, the human raw material for them to proceed with
their devilish practices.
2.
Tribalism
In a Gabon
where the rule of law and the republican spirit remain wishful thinking,
electoral campaigns are an opportunity for politicians, not all fortunately, to
take shortcuts to get elected without too much effort. Thus, in cosmopolitan
provinces such as those of the Estuary or Ogooué-Maritime for example,
depending on whether one is Fang, Miénè, or southerner, candidates will
preferentially go to neighborhoods where members of their ethnic group reside,
with a thinly veiled message wanting that this fringe of the population vote
the child of the village who would be the only one able to preserve their
interests.
3. The
destruction of the opposition
Opposition
parties and their position in the national legislature should be a central component
of any healthy democracy. But in Gabon, the regime has spent its time destroying
the opposition parties, so a true democratization and political competition
never arises in Gabon. Trough the nature and quality of electoral institutions,
Gabonese opposition parties have remained numerically weak and fragmented, and
unable to carry out their roles of political counterweight to the vicious PDG party
and Bongo family.

Bongo vient de communiquer le calendrier des prochaines élections sénatoriales.
Ce qui veut simplement dire que nous devrons faire attention à une
recrudescence des phénomènes suivants :
1.
Les crimes rituels
Une augmentation de la
part des politiciens dans l'utilisation de pratiques occultes pour améliorer
leurs chances de remporter un siège au Sénat. À cette fin, le meurtre d'enfants
innocents joue toujours un rôle très important dans la volonté de ces
politiciens de fournir à leurs sorciers, la matière première humaine pour
qu'ils accomplissent leurs pratiques diaboliques.
2.
Le tribalisme
Dans un Gabon ou l’Etat
de droit et l’esprit républicain restent des vœux pieux, les campagnes électorales
sont l’occasion pour les politiciens, pas tous heureusement, de prendre des raccourcis
pour se faire élire sans trop se fatiguer. Ainsi, dans les provinces
cosmopolites comme celles de l’Estuaire où de l’Ogooué-Maritime par exemple, selon
que l’on soit Fang, Miénè, ou sudiste, les candidats iront préférentiellement
vers les quartiers où résident les membres de leur groupe ethnique, avec un
message à peine voilé voulant que cette frange de la population vote l’enfant
du village qui serait le seul à pouvoir préserver leurs intérêts.
3. La destruction de
l'opposition
Les partis d'opposition
et leur place au sein de la législature nationale devraient être un élément
central de toute démocratie saine. Mais au Gabon, le régime passe son temps à
détruire les partis d'opposition, donc l’établissement d’une véritable
démocratisation et concurrence politique ne se produisent jamais au Gabon. Par
la nature et qualité des institutions électorales, les partis d'opposition
gabonais sont restés numériquement faibles et fragmentés, et incapables de
jouer leur rôle de contrepoids politique au vicieux PDG et famille Bongo.
