Le système politique gabonais est encore en gestation et évolue en ce moment sous l’influence de deux conceptions divergentes : les tenants du pouvoir voulant le garder éternellement, au point de lorgner vers la monarchie ; et ceux voulant de l’établissement d’une république et d’un Etat de droit.

 

Dans ce contexte, la conscience politique des élites dirigeantes au Gabon est, elle aussi, empreinte de contradictions, l’ambition de beaucoup de compatriotes se heurtant à une réalité gabonaise qui est la verticalité du pouvoir en place qui a au sommet du totem, la famille Bongo. Le choix est simple : vous composez avec les Bongo et on vous invite à leur table ; vous ne le faites pas et vous devenez un pestiféré de la république.

 

Le choix de Rene Ndemezo’o a été fait depuis des décennies, malgré ses gesticulations récentes dans l’opposition.
